About
motherly • protective • gentle
In the beginning, there were wars. Planet after planet collapsed and there was seldom a day without massacred bloodshed. This was the world a young Vena was born in to. Corpses lined the base of the bunker she called home. A fortess of rock and darkness and a planet that had been torn to shreds by the cruel, population-consuming wars. To begin pulling apart the reasoning behind the wasteful fighting, that in itself would require its own pulled apart history.
On Vakasi, the Vakasians are ranked solely on the positioning of their antennas. This, however, serves a more practical decision-making asset than what its citizens believed. Many of the rebels did not believe that their antenna placement held any true purpose. Instead, they grew angrier at what they'd thought to be discrimination. Those rebels were strongly mistaken. Each Vakasian had their own source of magic, known to the higher ranks as "tir" in their native language. This tir was centralized in the neck and head of the Vakasians. The only way to channel this energy into the real world was through the Vakasian's antennas. The closer your antennas lay on the Vakasian, the more focused and powerful their magic was. As such, Vakasians with both sets of their antennas on their head or neck and so on ruled over the planet as powerhouses. As such, the lower citizens grew bitter and angry and revolted. The price of their decision coated the grass in blood, unable to compete with the power of the head rulers.
With that tragic truth, more and more lower members of Vakasi and their sister planets were promptly destroyed in the carnage. A set of bright pink eyes watched in neutral coldness as the Vakasian species was nearly killed towards extinction. Many fled their homelands in desperation to live, but the galaxy never was merciful to begin with. The ones that got away were harvested for their tir, although, many planets found out that tir is useless unless used by a proper Vakasian. The deaths that resulted in that discovery were unneeded and devastating.
On the mother planet, only a few dozen remained. Vena, heir to the throne, was feared by all who remained. Her emotionless face left nothing to be revealed, and the day she took over as Queen, her people trembled at her paws. Vena was so far unattached to her emotions to be able to make it through the wars she'd grown up in, but it didn't mean she was heartless. Quite the opposite. She yearned for a planet that could finally set aside their differences and just live together, what remained of them at least. It was a hopeless dream...until her cherished captain of the guard brought in her own personal spy to keep watch over her people. He was young, just a child, but his control over tir was incredible. Head Spy Rin, appointed for duty. Through Rin... the world opened up to her.
He slowly pulled down all the walls in her heart, and she began to smile for the very first time at the one year festival of her crowning ceremony. All of who was left embraced their queen with open arms as the void from the war was healing itself in her presence. The bonds formed between the weak surviving species grew with every festival their queen indulged them on. Amongst the rekindling emotions in Vena, there was one very fond one growing towards her ever-supportive captain, Ceto. She took her as a mate the following season, and they made themselves their own family despite the misfortunate planet that was healing with its new queen. Rin, USB, Orion, Ceto, and their queen, Vena. They'd made it despite every odd.
------In Terms Of Tir------
Tir differs in every variant of Vakasian. No two creatures were the same. From the moment of birth, Vakasian's tir held a specific property.
Whether it be healing, fire, telekinesis, hypnosis, or power blasts, every tir is different. Nobody has the same ability unless the predecessor is dead. If a pyrokinesis cub is born and one already existed a generation ago, it only happened because the previous holder died.
Another thing to note about tir, it is a power that evolves as it is passed through user to user. You do not have to be related to someone to get their power at birth. All tir is stored in the planet's core and is passed that way.
------Vena's Tir------
Queen Vena was born with a cocktail mix of corporamancy/terramancy. What that means is that just by willing it to be, she can heal others and let the very land around her rapidly heal. With her antennas dead-on her central tir zone, her magic is potent with latent ability. With that said, her magic will leak out of her unnoticed and heal others and planets just by her being in their presence.
------So What Does Vena Do Now?------
Set on a mission for more bonds and connections, she is a diplomatic queen that traverses the universe in search of new allies. Vakasians can survive in any terrain, and so the vacuum of space does not dissuade them much. It is said that anyone that has met the motherly ruler has befriended such a tall, gentle creature.
