This rather small viscet was definitely a runt, coming out of an egg far too big for him. His mother, a gorgeous and well-loved viscet, was actually rather abusive towards him, and he learned early on to be quiet and sink into the shadows as to not negate from any of his mother's glory. That changed with a viscet named Pantarei (vigilant), who saved him from what would seem to be a lifetime of misery when he was a viscling. He 'adopted' Ru, sort of, helping the little viscet along. Being small and rather physically weak weren't the only products of Rupert being a runt; his legs never fully developed and to this day, as an adult, he can't walk on his hind legs. (In anthro/human form, he uses crutches or a wheelchair to get around.) One thing that Ru is very excited and passionate about, though, is magic: not the real stuff, the illusions that have answers, but the answers are sometimes not all that easy to find. He fancies himself a street magician, and it's not uncommon to find him performing tricks for a group of children or even intrigued adults.
