Sayuri Kobayashi

Sayuri is a fundamentally very leery and sceptical person. She's very thoughtful and questions many things for herself. She also is very withdrawn to unknown persons but even if it takes a long time until she trusts someone, Sayuri is a very loyal girl in the end.
She is very ambitious and perfectionist. When she wants to accomplish something, she doesn't give up simply. But she also gets frustrated fast, if something doesn't work as she wants. Her selfcritical manner sometimes is an obstacle to improve. But Sayuri always tries to look at all situations as realistic as possible.

Sayuri's tang is necromancy. However she can't controll it at all, because no one ever told her about even having this power. That's why she's called a "Momaina" and her tang controlling rank (TCR) is 0. But she tries to improve and gain control about it from the beginning. Compared to the most of other powers, you need an additional object, to carry out the skill. In her case it's a rod, called "baton". It is made from black titanium and has golden ornaments at its ends.

At the start of the story she attends the first class from the Northwind School, "Shinteki" class A2. Her favorite subject is history, cause she wants to know everything about the new world she's living in now. What Sayuri dislikes is the practical training, cause with her low abilities she can't do much yet and it bothers her, that she just has to sit around.

Sayuri is your average school girl, that gets a change to her life, after joining the Northwind Residental School for teens with supernatural powers. As she slowly integrates, she faces problems and situations she never would have dreamt of!

She is an only child and lived with her mother Anzu and father Izuya in a big house in a small city called Dawn Creek. She is at very good terms with her parents and has utter trust in them. Her grandparents Mika and Kenjiro Kobayashi and Maya Iwasaki also live within the same property in an extra house. She likes them as well, mostly her father's mother Mika.

Her hobbies are rhythmic gymnastics and dancing in general, cause this makes her feeling free and at ease. Her steady training keeps her very flexible. Sayuri easily falls for sweets, but she can't stand bitter things and melons. She likes taking photos, cause for her keeping memories is important. But it's just another hobby for her. She doesn't even have professional equipment or know how. Her MP3-Player delivers rock music for the most part but some chart songs, too. She likes the swishing of leaves on the ground during autumn as well as their red golden colors.

She avoids crowded places, cause she has claustrophobia and dislikes bumping into persons. She also feels very uncomfortable getting touched or brushed by accident. Her orientation is awful. Even with a navigation program, she would still go the wrong way. But if she has gone specific ways very often, she can finally remember them and arrive her destination.

If she had to pick a type of guy she likes, it would probably be a "hopeless romantic".
