It began with the search for the Golden Maneki Neko with the Seigaiha pattern printed on her. A young and naïve Hawaiian girl named Kristina and her friend Amanda had heard of this...one day, Kristina brought a Golden Maneki Neko to Tahitian Dancing class. Amanda was shocked when it spoke to her and gave her a treasure map, with directions to Mystery Goldmine. 

Here Corinne guarded the spirit of the Seigaiha Maneki Neko. When she found that the Goldmine's tiki bar had visitors, she strung it with decorations and decided to hold a luau. What astonished her was that Kristina's Maneki Neko beared such a strong resemblence to the Seigaiha Maneki Neko. Corinne was not prepared to reveal yet that she indeed had the Maneki Neko and could transform into a Maneki Neko Kemonomimi. This transformation is triggered by the scent of hibiscus blossoms or of lotus blossoms. But at the luau, unable to keep away from the hibiscus blossoms, Corinne's Maneki Neko ears and tail sprouted...
