His father past away when he was 7 years old. His mother had no more family in Egypt so the two of them moved to Canada when Nadir was 8 years old. They lived with Nadirs Aunt and Uncle while his mother tried to get back on her feet. She met a man and married him quite quickly as it would help out their situation a lot. The relationship was very abusive and manipulative, a lot of it directed at Nadir.During this time Nadir was struggling a lot in school, he had trouble speaking English and had no friends in school. He met Willow when he was 11 and they were both in English Learning Support classes. They bonded quickly and stayed best friends for life. His half sister Safiya was born when he was 13 and his mother finally divorced his step dad 2 years later. She moved back in with Nadirs aunt and uncle and they have been living there since. Nadir has been out of school for 2 years now and he still has no plans. He loves working at Sport Chek and doesn't really want to do anything else. His mother is trying to pressure him into going to post secondary.
