Gabriel

Gabriel used to be a rather average guy, a bit taller than everyone else but otherwise not standing out all that much.
He worked for a Chemistry Lab until there was a terrorist attack one day in which he and a co-worker were assaulted by someone with acid while a lot of his other colleagues were shot, more often than not fatally.
Laying on the floor, struggling in pain, unable to see anything he tried to find the sink to wash the acid off his skin. At the same time the whole building caught on fire, sources later state that it was most likely also set by the terrorist group. The employees that weren't injured heavily escaped. When he finally found the sink and cleaned his now terribly damaged skin, he noticed that he was surrounded by fire, and his colleague dead on the floor.
Trying to find a way out he found that the only exit left for him was blocked by a wall of flames. Seeing no other way out he took his chance and sprinted through, ignoring the incredible pain he was suffering through the gaping wounds that were covering about 40% of his body. some parts of his clothing caught on fire but he reacted fast, throwing them off his body after he made it through the exit, only slightly scorching his already wounded skin. After the rush of adrenaline faded, he passed out, only to wake up in the hospital.

He hates his dad so naturally he wouldn't come visit.
his mother however tried to call him multiple times, as he lives quite far away from his parents nowadays,
but he did not pick up the phone.
first he felt too weak, and once the doctors removed the bandages and he could see the full extend
of the damage he could not dare to look his mother into her eyes again.
He did answer the phone calls later to assure his mother that he is alright
but insisted on her not visiting him.
He just couldn't see her pain, He knows she would never want to see her son hurt like this.
And even thought she was worried, she understood that he just didn't want her to come.

Over a long time of rehabilitation and healing he became somewhat acceptant of his new appearance, althought
still filled with anger about the terrorists.
He wanted to get revenge on them no matter how, so after he was released from the hospital, he started
working out and building up his skills.

but as the days passed on they became more and more a chore to the point where
he didn't really want to leave his apartment anymore.

while others were just staring at him out of curiosity and empathy, some people were plainly
not understanding of his situation and even hid their children from him.

Even thought he started wearing a hoodie or hats and a bandanna to cover up most of his face and would rarely
use his right hand outside his house, since a part of his ring finger and his entire little finger had
to be amputated and of course the scars, he would still notice these piercing stares from strangers.
Even if they are in empathy and good willed, he still hated it.

he began to begrudge the entire humanity, they are cruel, reckless and stupid.
so he decided to move, with the savings he still had from working for several years under fairly good
conditions he bought the material required to build a hut and only took the most important things with him, along
with some entertainment like a CD Player and some books.

He usually hides his face behind his mask and the rest of his body underneath clothes and bandages.

used to be a serial killer until he met his precious love.

hates/hated all humans because his disfiguration was caused by some evil people and then everyone started mocking him for it and/or give him mean comments looks, etc. or just plainly get grossed out by his sole appearance.

Sean however just finds him a very interesting and beautiful man and tries to show him.

hes not really convinced yet at all, considering the crap he had to go through its kinda understandable..?
