When you first meet Azzurro, he may seem like your typical Disney villian - unpredictable, crazy, and having a dark sense of humor. Despite this, Azzuro is actually a pretty friendly guy. He absolutely loves to make new friends and he certainly never would hurt any of them. In fact, he wouldn't even heart a fly.... unless that fly happened to be holding a pickaxe. Azzurro has a deathly fear of pickaxes, probably because he's paranoid that someone would try to remove his crystals. If he couldn't escape whatever had the pickaxe, he would just throw rocks or whatever was lying around at it in order to make it go away. Azzuro absolutely LOVES shiny objects. Not only his own crystals, but he also collects, or more like hoards, any shiny objects he comes across, whether it would be a diamond, a piece of aluminum foil, or a glittery sticker. He strongly dislikes being messy, though. Even though he hoards shiny objects, he still categorizes them in order to make them still look nice. Despite his unpredictable nature, when it comes to keeping himself and other things clean, it is always certain that he will be organized.

He lives alone, just outside of the Kingdom of Alexandrite. It is unknown why he lives there. Many seem to think that he is a crazy hermit.
He is one of the few people that know about the overworld outside of the deep cave that they live in. He frequently visits the surface and has been fascinated by it ever since he had found the exit to the cave. Prior to finding the exit, he had lived the the cave his whole life. He speaks to others about the surface world but they don't believe him. They just think that it's another one of his crazy ramblings.
