Mario Schreck (middle name Nikolaus) is a mutant and anti-hero. He is a high school student who was born with his creature materialization-powers. He fights crime as the alter ego of Warlock, fighting to carry on his parents' legacy, who were murdered by an unknown group who feared mutants. He doesn't care much for people becuase of their fear of mutants, but he claims it's good for anger management to go on a criminal-hunting spree.

PERSONALITY

Outside of his Warlock alter ego, Mario lives the life of a normal 17-year-old high school student. He has below-average grades and has a passion for animals. He's a quick thinker, both philosophical and creative. He appreciates music, art, and drama. Self-consciousness prevents him from feeling at ease in positions of spontaneous expression.

Desiring to be free from detail and monotony, Mario finds it difficult to finish what he starts if it doesn't hold his interest. He enjoys reading and the beauties of nature, experiencing peace and relaxation in outdoor activities. A very individual, independent person, he lives within his own thoughts. With acquaintances and strangers, he tends to be withdrawn and reserved.

Mario's friends never know whether they'll find him friendly and charming or brooding. When unhappy or disappointed, he can be moody and temperamental, feeling misunderstood and unappreciated. He'll go out of his way to help others, and finds it difficult to say "no" and mean it. Others impose on his generosity at times. He has a sweet tooth and always has candy in his pockets.

He has a quick temper and takes it out in an unhealthy way - keeping it bottled up until he cracks and ends up fatally wounding a criminal. Warlock has a terrible perception from the public, who sees him as dangerous and a borderline-villain. Mario is shown to be right-handed, as well as bisexual.

APPEARANCE

Mario is a teenage boy of average height. He has an average, slightly-built build, gray eyes, short, black, curly hair, and pale skin. When using his abiliites, his eyes turn a white-blue shade, glowing. He's shown to wear dark-colored flannels.

ERGOKINETIC CREATURE CREATION: Mario's able to create beings of pure energy. The creatures being able to be controlled depends on his emotions. For instance, he can easily control a rabbit he manifests, but a dragon is controlled purely by his emotions. The creatures created depends on his emotions as well. The more unstable he is, the more unstable and more predatory animals he creates, such as lions or even leviathans. If his emotions are stable, he can dissipate the creatures. The creatures are white and mist-like, similar to Patronuses. The creatures have to stay within a certain radius of him, or they'll dissipate. Although they appear to be made of mist, they have mass, able to shove someone to the side or biting someone.

Abilities

• TACTICIAN: Mario uses his creativity and experience to develop effective, realistic strategies.
• EXPERT TRACKER: Over his anti-hero experience, he's learned to track scarily well, able to catch any criminal based upon their behavior, sounds, and tracks.
• COMBATANT: Mario's developed a lethal, effective combat strategy. He's self-taught in a mixed martial arts style for backup, but his creatures do most of the work.

EQUIPMENT

HOMEMADE WARLOCK SUIT: His suit isn't one you'd expect from a stereotypical warlock. He wears a cloak that drapes to his knees and a hood that covers his head. He wears a Guy Fawkes mask, inspired by V for Vendetta. He also has elbow and knee pads, a utility belt filled with first aid, and steel knuckles.

SCHRECK RESIDENCE: The Schreck Residence is an apartment in Riverdale, The Bronx, home to Mario and his maternal grandparents Anja and Ilona Feldt.
