Bernadetta Flandre moved from France to America to be with her girlfriend, Hannah Elain. The two eventually ended up getting married and wanting to have a child, but as they could not conceive a child together, they used a surrogate father.

Bernadetta, who carried the child, was born from a long line of powerful fire mages, so the couple did expect their child to inherit pyrokinesis. But it was a shock for everyone involved when the newborn emerged with pointy ears and a little tail.

Even so, the couple made the best of the child's upbringing.
