The Groudon deemed Behemoth was given life during the early years of Earth's solar system, created to bend the rock and magma that would welcome mortal life. At first, all went well, until Behemoth became aggressive toward their counterpart - Kyogre. They argued about the placement of their respective domains, eventually, their words turning into a territory war. 

Unable to quell their dangerous feud, Aeon created Rayquaza, who combatted both Groudon and Kyogre into submitting. Rayquaza became the supervisor to the rest of the God's duties. And once both the giants had finished creating the final image of Earth, Behemoth retreated away far underground to sleep off his exhaustion.
