Dorian "Dowo" Graham

Dowo  became a pirate because she felt left out in the community she was in,  her best friend being six years younger than she was. Her friend, Kimi,  told Dowo a story about a pirate named Annalise who turned to that  lifestyle because she was left out in society. That story, be it made up  or real, was Dowo’s sole reason for becoming a pirate.

Because  of an incident on her ship from years past, Dowo is instinctively  protective (somewhat possessive) of friends and family members whenever  there is some kind of threat to their health or safety. It's to the  point where she's unsure how to look after her own self. 

After marrying and having a vow renewal, Dowo's  twin, Howo, sent her congratulations a while later (ie, two years after  the wedding) because she couldn't accept how quickly Dowo found love.  This angered Dowo greatly, causing a rift between the siblings that  resulted in their lack of contact for nearly a year. However, she began  to think about it more and more until she and her sister finally forgave each other.
