Ikkei's father possessed some sort of power in his right eye, causing him to wear the eye patch for most of his life. When he passed away, Ikkei took the eye patch as a memorial item and holds it to him dearly. Despite Ikkei not having any eye problems of his own, he likes to wear still likes to wear this patch as part of his every day attire.

Rina: On his first day, he stumbled across the art club and clumsily bumped into Rina. This caused her project to fall out of her hands and start to break apart. Feeling incredibly guilty, he offered her some help after school to fix up the project so it would be ready in time for the due date. Together they shared cookies and pulled an all-nighter to assure her project was to stand out. He knows nothing about Rina's crush on him, and generally enjoys her company.
