Personality: Quick tempered, impulsive, dominant, appears to lack empathy (though that is just the appearance he gives off), overly observant, usually seems calm but the monster lurks right beneath his skin and always close to the surface, sometimes brooding, untrusting.
Design Information: Coat is black in color. The markings on him are scars (not birthmarks) from being burned as a child. Eyes are normal (not crossed). NO hunchback. NO gold teeth. He is thin, but not emaciated.
Most often in his feral wolf or anthro form. He sometimes appears in human form. Monster form is very rare.
Monster Form: This form is only present when he has lost control of his wolf and enraged. He struggles to keep control when in this form and loses his full thinking process or rationality. It is also very difficult to come back from this form once he crosses into it. This form will only present itself when he has lost all control of himself completely.
Backstory: When Dante was 6 years old he was in a car accident. His father had been driving, mother in the passenger seat and his younger brother next to him on the backseat. His mother and younger brother died on impact as the truck that hit them smashed in the entire right side of the car. His father was thrown from the car as it crashed into the guardrail. He was left trapped in the car. As it caught on fire he panicked and tried everything to get out of the car. He was unable to so his wolf surfaced and he transformed. As a wolf he was able to squeeze through a small section of the car but not before walking through the flames to get to it. Because of this the flames had licked his body and face leaving scars as a permanant reminder of that night and terrible tragedy.
His father lived but was paralyzed from his waist down. His father was a cruel beast and made sure Dante knew how much disdain he had for him. On many occasions his father had told him that he should have been taken in that crash instead of his mother and brother. The alpha of their pack was also cruel.He was the sort of man that involved himself with drug deals and guns for hire. Dante did his best to stay invisible, however, he was a born alpha and as such dominance rolled off of him. The alpha of his pack always felt threatened because of Dante and would frequently send his enforcers to beat on the kid. When Dante was 13 he left his pack and territory in the middle of the night. He felt he had better chances on his own as a lone wolf. He has been on his own ever since.
Because of his upbringing and how young his wolf surfaced he never learned the feeling of a soft touch or how to be kind to others. He also never truly learned normal emotions or social skills. He is rough, blunt, and comes across as very cold and distant. He was a born alpha but does not live as part of a pack. He is dominant and strong but, by choice, he lives in the peace and quiet of his small cabin deep within the woods. While most shifters spend the majority of their time in their human form and let their wolf out ever so often to run or to fight (if needed), Dante spends almost all of his time in his wolf form. He switches to his human form only when he needs to do an odd job or two for some money and needs to go to town for supplies. He has been known to go a full 6-7 months at a time without changing from his wolf form.
He is also very self conscious of his scars and insecure, though he will never openly admit to that.
When other shifters sense him or are near him they tend to flock to him. The dominant alpha vibes that come off of him seem to be a beacon to those that are without a pack or are in a pack with a less dominant or proper alpha. He hates this and sends them away everytime. Despite being a born alpha he does not want the responsibility of leading a pack. He also prefers the solace of being alone.
The necklace that he wears belonged to his mother. It is the only thing he has that belonged to her and the only thing he holds dear to him.
His original name is unknown by anyone that knows him now. After he left to go out on his own he changed his name so that he could not be found or tracked by anyone from his old pack. He gave himself the name Dante with no last name.
