Leo lives in a city that you can't leave from except by train. Growing up he heard there were dangerous things outside the safety of their big city, which was enough to keep him in.  That didn't keep him out of trouble,  though.  Him and his best friend liked sneaking out past curfew and he'd help her paint up abandoned buildings with spray paint. He wasn't too good at it, but he liked the adrenaline rush and running around. 

Aside from police and the occasional drunk, the two didn't run into much trouble in their "safe" city. They were good about keeping off certain terfs and were fast enough to get away from security guards patrolling the area. It wasn't til their late teens they started hearing rumors about ghosts getting in.  The outside was apparently swarming with them and there was a fear of your body being takem if you left the city. But if these spectre were roaming the streets, it didn't matter if you were inside or out. 

They ignored the rumors for the most part, aside from Leo carrying a bat for extra protection. Unfortunately the two ran into a ghost on one of their late-night runs.
