asahi was born in a small village near kumogakure to two very loving mothers. he had a very pleasant early childhood and has always loved his moms dearly. when the third ninja war broke out he was drafted by cloud to come train and be a ninja for them in the main village, and he got swooped away.... he really liked being a ninja despite being away from his moms and graduated from the very speedy academy. soon into his life they discovered he had the ability to control his blood and the blood of others outside his body - his jounin teacher most likely talked to him abt it and convinced him to volunteer for experiments to test and expand the limits of it, which is why he's so scarred.

he did ok in the war, though he was just a very young child, but he wanted to be a super sick ninja afterwards to help protect his moms and the villages, so he kept at it even after the war was over and tried his best to be a jounin. but his blood jutsu made it so he doesn't really have any elemental abilities. so even tho he reached chunin he didnt manage to become a jounin which rlly rubbed him the wrong way. like... he did so much for his teachers n shit and did so many experiments, they couldn't let him be a jounin for being really skilled at what he can do? or even a special jounin? they kinda took advantage of him to make him a lab rat but he was a really eager kid and didn't realize it. Plus there was a kid a couple years younger than him, miroku, that he really hates because miroku was the New Special Kid and rlly took away from the attention that he got as a kid w a cool ability. and his jounin instructor stopped payin attention to him p much by then so he was Out bc he heard abt a magical land of ninja who are respected and treated w love... the sound village.

he went there when he was around 16-17 and got taken in, he made friends with a couple of ninja there (like taizou) and settled in all right. he stayed there for a While until he realized it was just another ninja village and still fuckin sucked. he was still taken advantage of with no real returns or Respect. he doesn't like feeling like a Pawn, so he realized he really didn't want to be part of a village because they all seemed the same; bad. so he flies away again... and becomes a missing nin where he can be free. he prob does some bounting hunting and other random missions for some years before he gets picked up by kakuzu and works as an agent for him. through that he ends up getting recruited for the akatsuki when some stuff goes down internally and they need another spot that he fills in, and he's been there ever since. it's a living! he enjoys it a lot more though, he feels a little more respected even though most of his coworkers are mmmmmmmmmm weird.
