Ellistown

Ellistown is a fictional medium-sized town in the Midwestern United States, located somewhere south of the Illinois/Ohio/Indiana region. It is home to about 302,000 residents (according to the last census), and it offers a few public services, such as a library, a park, and a bus line.

Although Ellistown is mostly a quiet place with many friendly residents, there are a few criminals who call the town home as well. Bank robberies, theft, and even occasional monster attacks are not unheard of in Ellistown. In the early 2000s, criminal activity got so bad that the town's mayor invested in bringing a trio of superheroes in to help deal with the crime problem. The initial plan failed, and when the original superheroes fled in defeat, all hope seemed lost- that was, until Pink arrived and was able to successfully put the criminals in their place. Since then, crime rates have taken a plunge, and most residents once again feel safe roaming the streets at night.

The town rests among dusty hills in an almost-but-not-quite desert. Vegetation consists mostly of succulents and other drought-tolerant plants. The weather can be brutally hot and dry in the summertime, but it usually cools down in autumn and stays cool until next summer.
