About
Gwenivere Lucretius Anna-Bella von Epelstein is an aarakocra monk who grew up in center of Saranda. When she was born, she was named Quinn Percell. At some point she started going by Gwenivere and has been called that longer than she was ever called Quinn. She has worked as an archivist at the archives for years, and during her time there she developed a particular interest in the Arches of Assevain. She ate up any information should could find and then found herself at the end of it too soon. She grew more and more frustrated with the lack of knowledge on the subject, needling others about doing more research until finally she decided to take matters into her own hands. She traveled on her own all the way to Ellara, where she quite literally stumbled her way into the party.
Personality
She is fairly polite and amicable towards strangers as she’d rather keep as many doors open as possible. You never know when you might need information or a favor from someone in the future. She comes across as extremely clumsy, constantly fumbling with items and tripping over herself, but can hold her own extremely well in combat. She has admitted to Alexander that her uncoordinated demeanor is a facade she uses to control how people perceive her.
Design notes
Gwenivere is a reddish brown owl aarakocra of average height. She has large golden yellow eyes, and wears a pair of round spectacles with a single cracked lens. (If inspected closely, one could determine that the glasses are not at all corrective, and are purely cosmetic.) her large feathery eyebrows exaggerate her expressions. She wears lightweight red robes with gold trim. Her hands and forearms are wrapped in maroon cloth. Her design is based on the Spectacled Owl.

Backstory
Quinn Percell is an only child. Her parents are Octavius and Emile Percell. Quinn never fully understood what it is her parents did for work. They left often, telling her to stay safe inside, don’t answer the door, don’t answer any questions. Quinn didn’t mind this too much. Yes she may have been a little lonely, but she knew they’d be back soon enough, and she had her books to keep her company. She didn’t get along with the other kids anyway. They asked too many questions, and then their parents would ask even more questions. The only time she ever went out was to make a trip to the library and get more books. She was perfectly fine with her warm blanket and her pages and pages of endless adventures.
Quinn was four years old when her parents left for the last time.
There was nothing especially different about their departure this time than any other. They hugged her, told her to stay safe, and promised to be back in a few days. Days passed. They hadn’t returned. That’s fine. They’d been late before. So she waited. Days turned into weeks, weeks into months. As time went on, Quinn started to lose hope. She found herself spending more and more time at the library, checking out more and more books under the name “Gwen”. Eventually the workers there began to take notice of little ‘Gwen’ and her gift for academia. Approximately a year after her parent’s departure, Quinn was offered an apprenticeship in the archives. At this point, Quinn had come to accept the reality that her parents were unlikely to return. She accepted the apprenticeship, and saw it as an opportunity to start her life over. Life is short, and she can’t spend it all tucked inside a small cottage, waiting. Not when there’s knowledge and adventure out there. So she got a pair of round glasses, the name “Gwenivere Lucretius Anna-Bella von Epelstein”, and reinvented herself. After all, the only people who really knew Quinn Percell are likely gone.
