🗡️ Mehnrié Aumontl (XIV AU)'s Links
Aelicia is Mehnrié's key to a calmer and normal life. The Ishgardian first saved her life in an attempt to apologize for his crimes to the Twelve, has he did multiple times behind his family's back. But after promising the xaela to protect her, her curiosity and sweet personality grew on the midlander who got accustomed to her nicer world.
He can't run away from his cold and cruel life but sometimes comes back to her house to teach her how to fight with the weapons he gave her or even enjoy a nice casual chat in the living room.
The xaela even once put a smile on the face of the man who never seems to stop mourning. She is the first one he agreed to call a friend, after she showed him the meaning of this word from a different world.
And yet, he cannot tell his kind friend the truth. Tales are often written with blood.
"I wish that I could see you smile, and that the gods bring us all to a nice chat ... without any worries .. any suspicions, or doubts about one another but the last part is probably a reverie."
Even if the manners and stiffness of the black knight scares the lady, Aelicia Filis is certain that something else hides behind this facade. She is certain, after catching glimpse of his kindness and concerns about her well-being, that the knight isn't as ill-intended as he seems to be. She knows how she's probably a puppet used for his own feeling of redemption, but agrees to be used as she thinks she is doing the same by using him as a watch dog. Aelicia doesn't mean to do it, but that is the mere truths about how their relationship began.
Whereas Aelicia thought helping that man towards a warmer future was a good-deed, or accepting to be used until the lone wolf learns what a real friend, is despite anything, she began to re-think her ways of thinking after her brother finally managed to shook some sense onto her. After all, the shadow behind the young lady is still a stranger, and one that has committed what the devil would sing with a smile. Whereas Aelicia thought she changed, the lady did not realize the extent of her denial towards the ornaments of blood and tears on the knight's sword.
Yet again, the not-so-little girl stares at the wall of her room, lost.
