- Bio-Black Cherry is a punk rock, emo, antisocial mare who prefers to be alone than with other ponies. She doesn't have many friends due to her anti-socialness and she doesn't mind that. She prefers to stay home and write songs. She writes punk rock music, but nobody knows she does. She prefers to keep this information to herself. Only her best friend knows she writes songs. Now while she does write songs, she can't sing to save her life. She can't carry a pitch and she can't hold a beat. But she doesn't mind this. She prefers to let her best friend do the singing. She writes the songs, her friend does the singing. When Black Cherry found emo music, she decided she wanted to dye her mane and tail black. Her moms disagreed on her dying her mane and tail completely black but compromised with half her mane and tail.

- Parent Backstory-After saying goodbye to her one actual friend Starlight, Juniper Montage found herself struggling to make herself more friends. Sunset Shimmer and the other girls were alright, but Juniper felt like they were just kind of forced to be her friends. So while in search of making new friends, Juniper finds herself wandering blindly into a rock concert where she meets Cherry Crash. They connect right away and it doesn't take them very long for them to fall in love. They have Black Cherry pretty quickly, but then The Collapse happened and after being pinned by falling debris, Cherry insisted her girlfriend and daughter jump through the portal and she'd be right behind them. The portal ended up closing before she could make it and died with the Equestria Girls universe. After many months of mourning, Juniper was able to move on to Gloriosa Daisy where they now live with their two new additions.
