as a kid, she lived a fairly normal life with her parents and twin brother, helping out around her family's grocery store. unfortunately, around at the age of twelve she but experienced a series of events that both traumatized and changed her and her twin, astrid. as a result of these events, her mother died and father committed suicide, leaving her and astrid to fend for themselves. the two were thrown into the foster system but quickly ran away - opting to attempt to survive on their own.

ash has always been good with computers - she started hacking from a very young age. using these skills, she is able to earn money and help take care of her brother. throughout her youth, ash establishes a name for herself online, and continues to build up an impressive resume of hacking work.
