A B O U T
Haru can usually be described as a 'big brother' figure to most. He's fun-loving and despite being a year or two older than his friends, usually acts like he's just as young. Generally however, he's seen as mature, with his warm and welcoming nature, along with his charisma, often drawing people towards him - he's the guy that when walking down the street, everyone stops to greet because his smile just lightens up their day that little bit more. People can't help but naturally warm up to him and become comfortable very quickly, so much so that Haru often finds himself consoling those he's met only just moments before. He's got a loud and deep laugh that just makes others feel warm and at ease. He's very genuine and sincere, always meaning what he says (unless he's joking/teasing) and always wanting the best for others. So it's no surprise that Haru is a doctor, mainly specializing in pediatrics as all the kids in the neighbourhood refuse to visit any other doctor but him. Of course, no parents resist this as he makes them feel just as safe being in his care.

He's a big lover of animals and loves stopping in the streets or on his way somewhere to pet a stray dog or gaze at the birds. He also dearly values his loved ones, both friends and family, and can be very protective when the situation calls for it (though never overbearingly so). But despite his gentle nature, Haru loves his sake - and when he drinks, he DRINKS. He's pretty proud that he's a heavy weight and isn't ashamed to show it. Though he really doesn't care if it gets him wasted either because that's just as fun - especially since it led him to meeting Ryu.

One day, after a long and hard night of drinking with his friends, Haru suggested that the group take refuge in the small teahouse off the main street in hopes that it would lessen the pain of their hangovers. Upon entering the store, the bustling of the streets smoothly filtered out but only to be interrupted a second later by the noise created as he and his friends stumbled across the store as they tried to find their feet. He wasn't too sure how he didn't realise sooner, but a chill ran down his back as he felt a cold death stare on him that seemed to penetrate all the way to his soul. Looking up he saw that the source was none other than the store owner himself, and he was clearly not happy at the rowdy customers that just disrupted the peaceful atmosphere of his sanctuary. After a couple seconds of drunkenly staring at this owner while unsuccessfully thinking of ways to apologize, Haru noticed him uncomfortably shift under the prolonged stare. And that was all it took. His lips curled into a massive grin, and looking over to his friends the grin only widened when he saw that they somehow realised the same thing. This store owner was the perfect target. The way he suddenly got so awkward despite initial impressions was just too good, and it just made him look so damn cute.

And that's how it all started, a somewhat chance encounter at a teashop where ever since that day, Haru and his friends find themselves back at that very place to continue with their innocent teasing. Ryunosuke (who they now referred to as Ryu-chan exactly because of how much it annoyed him) would be the centre of their teasing day after day, but despite him putting on airs of being annoyed, the group always noticed how his eyes would light up ever so slightly every time he saw them come. That only seemed to feed their jokes though, as they found Ryu gradually showed a wider range of emotions than his usual stoic and aloof face, making him all the more cuter. Haru and Ryu especially got very close. It seemed that Ryu looked up to Haru for his warm and inviting personality that left him wearing his feelings on his sleeve which was the complete opposite of himself; and Haru in turn doted on Ryu for his innocence and awkwardness. He found himself seeing more sides of Ryu than he ever expected, and each time, without realising it, his feelings grew.
