He's a vegan, as his name mentions. Mochi is a vegetarian candy, filled with something sweet inside. Yet, Mochi isn't exactly nice at all. He doesn't get alone with next to anyone, and is basically a tsundre of an asshole. He has yet to find a love interest as he's shown nothing close to it, not even friends- but Pocki thinks that once he does find someone of interest, he'll warm up to them and have something to look forward to as he's most likely depressed. In denial of being depressed too, he makes it worse by always excluding himself from everything. Because of this, Pocki drags him into every event she goes to.
