NAME ORIGINS:
-"Trine" generally means threefold or triple, referring to the triangle patterns on his body and clothes. It is also a term used in studying celestial bodies, which relates to the "helio" part of the species name Helioptile. I originally got the name from my favorite Enemy Skill in Final Fantasy VII, which is coincidentally a lightning elemental spell that appears as a pyramid inside of another pyramid.

RANDOM FACTS:
-After failing to create a Pokesona from Mew, Pichu, and Meowstic, I finally decided on a Helioptile, who is my favorite Electric-type in Generation VI (which was the current generation at the time when I first sketched him back in January of 2015).
-Though Psychic is my current favorite type, Electric was my original favorite type and lightning is my favorite element in general, so having an Electric-type for my Pokesona just felt right.
-The colors of the triangle patterns on his clothes reference Caesar Zeppeli's headband from JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, which my favorite character Joseph Joestar inherited.
-His held item being a Soft Sand is a reference to a small jar of sand I have from the beach in Atlantic City, New Jersey, which is a very special place to me. Trine's Soft Sand is from Olivine City, which is the city where my favorite Johto Gym Leader Jasmine resides in my favorite Pokemon games, Gold & Silver.
