Personality

Mirai is known for her willingness to throw herself into high-risk-high-reward situations. This is commended by some as bravery, and by others as recklessness. While her loyalty can be earned, she expects that loyalty to be returned time and time again. If you mess up even once, you start from square-one. This expectation of others renders her quite standoffish and trusting of very few. Although, she tends to be warmer to those that choose to be by her side, despite her harsher traits. Overall, she is extremely morally grey and acts out in her own interests. She tries to do this as respectfully as possible, cutting ties where needed and setting out on her own path instead of dragging people down with her.

Appearance

Mirai has a deep tan, her skin marked with many tattoos. The style of her tattoos consists of blocky black shapes of symbolic nature.

She carries around a staff made out of driftwood and contains a large piece of seaglass, imbued with elemental magic.

Arcane Abilities

Mirai specializes in force magic, which allows her to play a more aggressive role among the crew. Her magic focuses on arcane, primal, and elemental spells.

Mirai is a proficient Dreamer. She suspects her ability to Dream is due to her repeated close encounters with lyrium, both in its raw and processed form.

History

Mirai is an apostate who grew up in Rivain. Due to Rivain's friendly disposition towards elves, her family hardly faced any racism from their peers. Her parents are high-stakes gamblers. Despite their gambling addiction (they prefer for it to be referred to as their "profession"), they always left aside a decent amount of gold in savings. As such, Mirai lived a life of fair wealth.

Work

As a Ravaini, Mirai has a close connection with the sea. She serves on a pirate ship with the rest of her party. Her crew and her are vagabonds, sailing across the coastline of Thedas and looting ships. While they are merciless against other pirate ships, they have a strict policy to do as little damage to merchant or civilian ships as possible, taking only a chestfull and sailing off.

Mirai is the navigator of the ship. With her vast knowledge of the lands and seas, she is able to use even foreign maps, as she can easily recognize familiar landmasses and landforms. When the coast disappears into the horizon, she looks to the stars as her guide. With her magic, she is able to shift winds and tides in their favor.
