Kani was once a powerful warrior. Or that is what he was told anyway... When you wake up after your physical form has been recreated by an ancient, certain memories just don't make the transfer. In Kani's case, that was all of them, except his name..
At some point, warrior were killed, turned into revenants and had souls of mages infused into them to create an army. To counter that, the warriors' souls were put into robots. Kani cannot recall any of it but when the ancient showed him the machine that they had found his intact soul inside, there was not much of a choice. He would have to consider himself lucky, having survived encased in metal for over 2000 years, but all of these things feel like they matter very little when you are unable to even tell what kind of person you used to be.

Powers
Kani's abilities are unique but it is unclear whether they worked the same way two millenia ago. He is able to weave threads of light to connect himself to other living beings in an attempt to converse with them. If the bond is accepted and maintained by the other, Kani is not only able to share emotions, they can also utilise another's powers and magic as if they were his own. At the same time, he can give control over his own body to a connected individual, serving as a surrogate body n combination with his mimicry ability.
If he is unable to establish a link to anyone, he only relies on a light construct bow and a subtle sense of intents of the lifeforms surrounding him.

• He is a bit over 5ft tall (the horns help)
• He can create different shapes out of light but the bow is his go-to weapon
• When he is comfortable, he sometimes fills his surroundings with little lights
