Hi!
I would use this awesome design in a story I am currently writing! He would be one of the guards in charge of keeping the students out of trouble and making sure no one gets hurt. His main task is to ensure the 'graduation' of as many students as possible. His ability is of the demonic sort, and is quite powerful. He is able to control chains, and has extremely good sight, smell, hearing and taste. The ability also heightens his agility and strength, but he can only use this enhanced strength and agility for a maximum of 30 minutes. He would have formerly been a Fighter in the Upper rank, and chose willingly to help the school.
The school he works at is for highly dangerous ability users that either do not know how to control their ability, or have a form of trauma that needs to be healed to figure out what the ability is and how to control it.
Graduation is at the age of 18, and is a series of tasks, an inspection and a final interview of each student who is graduating that year. The students are evaluated on ability control, mental stability, willingness to follow orders, strength, agility, and intelligence. The first three categories will be the decision maker of if the student will keep their ability (like a power), or if they will have to have it removed to keep the general public or the student safe.
The other three categories will determine what division and rank the student will go to after graduation. There are four categories: Fighter, Medic, Spy and Official. Each of these categories have a different ranking skill and have different divisions inside to better place the student.
Fighters are usually ranked from strongest to weakest and are separated by their fighting range (long, medium, short). They often have the strongest abilities that can enhance strength or give them the upper hand in battle. The ranking system is as follows: The First, The Second, Overseer, Captain, Upper, Lower, and Recruits. The First and Second are usually the first and second strongest, and hold the most power. They aren't seen on the battlefield as often, and only appear when strong enemies are reported. Most of the time the First issues commands that come from the Official HQ, and will go down the chain of command to the Overseer. There are often two or three Overseers, one for each fighting range. They report any mishaps and discoveries to the Second, who will tell the First and will be reported to the Officials. The Captains are in charge of training, and they are the only rank that will never be removed from their position. It is often to find out that the Captains are former First and Seconds. There are only one or two Captains that have a First or Second background, and five or more regular Captains. The Uppers are the stronger of the two positions that are regular. It is seen as an honor to be put in the Upper ranking, and rumors say that ability users from the Upper rank have a higher chance to get a higher ranking in the future. Lowers are self explanatory. They are the lowest ranking there and are comprised of the weakest ability users. It is rare to see a Lower get moved to become an Upper, and even rarer to ever get a rank of power. In history, there has only been one Lower that became a First. Lastly, recruits are graduates that have been selected to be a Fighter. They train and hone their abilities for a year with a mentor, and once the year has passed they will become an Upper or Lower. There are usually 10-15 recruits every year, and each is assigned a mentor. It is usually a selection process that each recruit must explain their ability and its capabilities, and each rank will get their pick in the order of power. It is very common for the Lowers to get a big chunk of the recruits (8-9), and only the top of the top will get the attention of any higher ranks.
Thanks for the opportunity!
