He is a slightly corrupted enderman.  His corruption values aren't that bad and he can still speak to others and form relationships, but due to his corruption it causes him to have a short temper/low tolerance and snap easily.  If things escape too far, he will revert to running around on all fours, drooling blood from his jaws as they are bared.  

He often just wants to make friends with others and be happy, relaxed, and safe.  It is what he's always wanted but he is often misunderstood due to him getting angry so easily.  He is soft and caring as long as he is taken care of with a soft enough touch.

He often is associated with roses and likes to be around them.  He isn't hurt by their thorns and he often plants and grows them.
