Abilities: Fast muscle memory from sight/ability to replicate physical attacks, lung adaptation, retractable bone spikes from his fins, enhanced strength, momentary lockjaw
Weaknesses: Fire, electricity, simple poisons through touch and consumption

Fighting Style: Melee or close range depending on who he's fighting. He prefers to fight with his bare fists and spiked fins. Is always moving around in combat and mimics the moves of his opponents. When putting up a big fight, he'll armor himself and use modified fists/gauntlets and similar weapons.

Bio:
Before becoming what he is now, he was a literal piranha in a sectioned tank full of other piranhas. His mother was the first piranha to successfully morph into a humanoid figure by experimentation. A small group of scientists with ill intentions attempted to create multiple humanoid versions of dangerous animals to serve as obedient, ruthless, and animalistic henchman. Many animals had gone through their trials but either turned out too weak and braindead from heavy experimenting or died through the process. The scientists had gone through only a couple of piranhas until Mercer's mother ended up successfully developing as a human figure in body and mind. Although a bit weak, she only grew healthier with time, but seemed to be incredibly depressed. After a few weeks of brain development and being taught to speak, and she seemed to be more emotional and harmless than anything. Because the scientists were made up of lonely weeaboos, they sympathized with her and she became a friend of theirs. Her sadness was caused by sudden maternal feelings, she wanted to interact with her son in person. A few more piranhas were experimented on before they attempted humanizing the fish that was Mercer. He successfully grew from fish to child.

When Mercer became part of his mother's life in person, she started to cooperate with the scientists and their original intentions and eventually ended up becoming romantically involved with one of them as the years passed. Until Mercer became a teenager, he wasn't subjected to any of the scientists' plans, and became incredibly attached to his mother and her partner. When the time came for him to step up, he was more than happy to comply with strength enhancements and training to work alongside his mother. They both did the dirty work of the scientists; breaking and entering, roughing up people of all kinds, stealing and acquiring human test subjects, and much more. They became notorious through a rumor. They were the things that abducted people who played and swam within a lake on the outskirts of their city. After too many occurrences, the lake went on abandoned.

Slowly, they started showing face and ended up bringing the scientists to a higher level of power with their brutal ways of ransom, beat-downs, and death. When the media started to shine more light on them, heroes started to show up and attempt to interfere with their plans or kill them. They became big on the radar, and one-too-many cocky slip-ups ended in the destruction of their hidden lab, and the death of almost everyone on the team, including his mother. His mother's romantic partner and another singular scientist survived the attack. He was roughed up, but nothing hurt more than the dishonorable death of his mother. The media had spread the news about the apparent destruction of their existence and highlighted the mocking death of his mother. He grew angrier while he hid out. He was urged to stay hidden until the media stopped covering them, and during that time, he worked harder to become stronger, and the scientists developed consumables and equipment that would aid in his training all the while starting from scratch again.

After two years of hiding, training, and aiding in the reconstruction of the new lab, he set off to find the heroes who once defeated him. He knew this choice could eventually backfire on him, so he left the scientists to their own safety after learning how to build and assemble his own devices and consumables.

Present:
Mercer is much more careful when it comes to his doings now. Sometimes eyes will fall on him but he keeps a low profile and isn't so recognizable in the new areas he's located himself in. He is still on the look-out for the heroes who killed his mother, and is a part-time mercenary when he's feeling generous. He has restarted the process of turning animals into humanoid creatures with the intent of training them well and sending them to buyers who need the assistance he himself used to give.

Additional:
•His mom was basically grilled by a fire manipulator and he gets furious whenever he thinks about all the jokes that have been made about it. She died when he was about 23.
•He often carries a tank around and can be seen using a mask with it. The solution within the tank is a liquid that boosts his abilities for as long as he inhales it.
•Seems like a tough guy but melts with pampering and affection. It often clouds his judgment.
•Will pull an attitude if something inconveniences him.
•Likes showing off his arms, but doesn't have anyone to flex them for-- so he'll do it in front of a mirror instead.
•Spends his time at the bottom of lakes, ponds, pools, etc when having a mental breakdown. No one can see his tears underwater. It's next-level shower-crying.
•Has his own piranha minions. They are more like fish with legs that run around for him and speak in grunts. He doesn't make his personal minions or henchmen too human-like because he doesn't want to get too attached in the case of his residence getting destroyed with them in it. The piranhas are pretty cute tho
•A lot of his victims are drowned or thrown to the piranhas. He enjoys feeling more powerful and capable than them while they struggle to stay alive. He usually watches from within the waters himself.
•One thing he isn't so confident in is long interactions. If he's talking, the topic usually revolves around himself and his capabilities.
•He doesn't have an official villain name or evil title, but he's been referred to as the Fillet and Fish Voldemort.
•Has two gill slits on both sides of his neck.
