S T O R Y
Tam is just a regular cat who likes music. She goes to Grandhill High as a freshman and does various, regular teenage girl things, and following her mother's death, she tries her best to keep doing so. But she, her friend Daylin, and the confused junior Judy all find out about a strange power within the key her mother gave her, and things start not being so regular anymore. With the help of the portal-opening key, Tam and her friends find a wildly different world with a different kind of two-legged resident- dogs. And all the plants are purple! Desiring to keep this knowledge to themselves, so as to not lose what they have, the group finds the wonderful place to be an escape from their problems in reality. They have a clean slate there, make new friends, learn new things, and experience magic. When trouble threatens their new beloved friends in this world, the three help out. Meanwhile, they experience classic teenager problems at Grandhill High in the real world.
Tam's a friendly but calm gal, and loves meeting other cats and making friends more than anything. Well, maybe not more than certain kinds of music, of which she is very talented at making. She's lovingly named her guitar Betsy. Tam is a little less than average in school and despises reading and sports, but knows just about every other useful thing. Tam knows all the right ways to deal with bullies and enemies, whether it be in a merciful way or a vengeful one. She also can't stand any sort of sappy, romantic thing, at least for now. She sometimes gets ahead of herself caring for others and forgets to remember herself.
