Merc

One day, the completely average human that became Merc was stolen away to a dark forest deep in Faerieland. The human was confronted by the terrifying leader of a grand hunting party, and asked, "Art thou predator? Or prey?"

The human answered by running away.

An incalculable time later, the changeling-that-would-be-Merc was hiding from the hunters in the shimmering reflection of a moon in a pond. But the powerful grip of a shadowy beast wrestled them from their hiding spot, and whispered, "I know how to leave this place."
