Finn

Finn was born in the city of Tunatropolis, Feeeshland. His mother, Camilla, and his father, (TBN), were investigating a secret organization with dubious motives that was connected to Cat Corp., the biggest tech company on the island. They were close to a breakthrough, until a mysterious event occurred, and Finn’s father disappeared. Camilla knew it was a matter of time until they were found out as well, and as per their plan to protect their young son, left the country and fled to the outside world.

Camilla and Finn, who was barely 2 years old, would hide out in various cities across North America. New York was a frequent place for them to live considering its proximity to the ocean, but they would move every two years or so. Finn would not learn any details about his father, his mother preferring to keep it secret. All he had left of him was a cosmium gem necklace that he was given by his father.

As a result of moving often and not staying in one place, Finn would have trouble making friends and connecting with kids his age. His mother was kind and caring, but was very secretive about the past, and could often be uncharacteristically strict and protective. Left without answers, Finn was quite frustrated. This would manifest often as a kid, landing him in trouble, but over time he would learn to hide his emotions. Without a sense of belonging, he would make himself act more of a class clown and an air of confidence, all to become more well liked. At the same time, he was hiding his true self, since being vulnerable with others would be pointless if he would never see them again in a few short months.

Eventually, on the cusp of his 21st birthday, something would happen that would mean they could no longer hide in the outside world. Finn finally resonated with the cosmium necklace his father gave him, causing his magic powers to manifest. Camilla knew that magic would be easily detected outside of Feeeshland, so she decided to move her and her son back to the island. There, they could hopefully stay in one place and be undetectable since magic was ever-present on the island. However, she could no longer hide the truth from Finn. Finally learning why he was forced to move home so often, Finn became determined to learn the real truth behind his father’s disappearance and expose the truth behind the evil organization behind the scenes.

Finn, now going to the Tunatropolis university/collage, would meet new friends by chance. He would be hesitant to get to know them too well, due to his apprehensions from the past, but slowly he would come to find a sense of belonging amongst people who could finally understand him. This is where his story truly begins…

Finn would meet many people in his new home. His new friends and study group are Jesse, Erin, and Alex, who seem to have been through a lot together. Jesse is initially a little cold to Finn, but at the behest of the others he begins to warm up to him, their senses of humour easily bouncing off each other. Erin becomes a close confidant of Finn’s, and both being the first two in the group with magic powers they often team up, but their clashing powers and methods makes for some difficulty. Alex will often counter Finn’s wild plans with a dose of reality yet is also more than willing to go along with any hair-brained move using their full force.

In addition is Finn’s mysterious uncle, who has deep knowledge of magic and teaches him how to use his powers properly. Rivalries also develop between Finn and other classmates. Lucy is stoic and harsh but often hangs out with the group in certain situations, although she keeps much of her private life secret. Damien is another student who seems to have beef with Jesse, and is not afraid of antagonizing Finn at every opportunity.
