Hannah is an extremely kind-hearted young baker who has gone through enough heartbreak herself in order to learn how to empathize well with others who have gone through the ringer themselves.

She makes it her mission to put a smile on the faces of those who she cares for.

In her mind, there are enough things to worry about in the world…so she does everything she can to try and keep the mood light where possible for the sake of the mental health of her friends.

This isn’t something that is always possible, but where words can not convey her warmth…she will always offer a shoulder to cry on or a warm and tender hug to those who may need it.

Story

Youth

Growing up, Hannah always held an interest in the kitchen. Even when she was too small to see over the counter, she would spend time in the kitchen…just for the sake of watching her mother as she moved about.

Something that sticks out to Hannah when she thinks back on that time, was just how fluid her mother had looked. How alive she’d seemed when she began the process of whipping something up for Hannah or her sister, Diza.

This interest was something her mother had picked up on relatively quickly, and so…she would speak while she cooked. That way, even if Hannah couldn’t necessarily see what was going on…she could hear about it.

It was this way, that Hannah learned many of the unique techniques that her mother utilized while cooking or baking.

It was this way, that Hannah learned how to imbue a ‘little something special’ into the meals.

It wouldn’t be until far later, that Hannah realized that it was ‘magic’ and not love that made her mother’s dishes, and later on her own, so impressive.

For several years, Hannah trained in the ‘art of the kitchen’ as her mother would joke.

Unfortunately, this period of time could not last forever…it was when Hannah was freshly ten years old that her mother passed away rather unexpectedly.

An accident, Diza would tell her.

Hannah would never learn the truth behind the unexpected loss of her mother.

It was then that Diza fell into the role of ‘mother’ herself as she maintained the household and became much more caring and considerate of her younger sister.

When Hannah was sixteen, she decided to leave home in an effort to experience more. To see the world in ways beyond their little house on the hill. A large portion of this was out of curiosity, although she couldn’t help but feel as though her leaving home would take a certain kind of weight off of Diza’s shoulders.

Darkest Days

It wasn’t long into this new journey, that things took a rather unexpected turn for Hannah.

At the age of seventeen, Hannah fell pregnant. This was not something she’d been expecting, or really hoping for, although it was something Hannah quickly accepted and came to terms with.

The father would not be present.

Later that same year, Hannah would give birth to a seemingly healthy baby boy. Unfortunately, when the infant was merely ten days old he stopped breathing in the night and Hannah didn’t realize it until she awoke the following morning and discovered her baby cold to the touch and unsavable.

Hannah mourned the loss of her baby and promptly did what she found to be something of a comfort whenever hardship hits...she began to travel. Hannah allows new sights and smells to distract her from the pain in her heart.

Urvel

The moment Hannah stepped foot in Urvel, she knew that it was a good place to try settling down once more. The people of the town were open-minded and not inclined to judge or treat her differently based on her race.

When the local baker died, Hannah took up the role herself and the locals quickly became fond of both Hannah and her baking.

She lived in Urvel for nearly two full years before she met a young man whom she immediately became intrigued by due to his kind heart and pain-filled eyes.

Her bakery was destroyed and she began to travel with this man, she joined him back to Mourien…a land to which the rest of his group had journeyed to.

Something she quickly came to find…was that she did not trust the one called Elias.

It is something she would have a difficult time putting words to, but there is something about the way that Slaine especially responds when around the Eternal Sanctus.

Something in those eyes.

She’d made a decision to keep an eye on him quite early on.

Dedicated Chef

While Hannah can’t offer much in the way of fighting, her meals are capable of doing much in the way of boosting the physical and mental strength of the party members.

In a way, she’s come to make something of quite an impact through the best way that she knew how.

With a little something special.
