Zoe is one of my characters I am most willing to switch between different fandoms and settings with little hesitation. She almost always has an association with air, whether that's fighting with the Hogwarts sorting hat to be put in Hufflepuff rather than Ravenclaw because applying your intelligence is more important than having intelligence, or being an aerokinetic, or simply enjoying being in high places.

Zoe is absolutely freakishly smart. Terrifyingly smart. Her most powerful magic is her brain. It's precisely this brain which earns her not being in Ravenclaw when in HP settings. Both her parents are high-standing university professors, and they taught Zoe, as well as her older brother, Young, and her younger sister, Hana, as much as they possibly could about critical thought. Zoe was born in Seoul, and is, indeed, fluent in Korean.

She values her persistance in applying her brain, and her continual work in improving her brain more than she values the raw base that her intelligence started working up from (hence Hufflepuff > Ravenclaw). You can bet your butt she takes as many classes as possible, even if she's forced to take them unaccredited.

She's a rationalist and a sceptic, applying sheer force of logic to absolutely everything she possibly can, which bugs the heck out of almost everyone around her, particularly when she uses it to justify her enormous pedantism. Zoe can be extraoardinarily cold to new comers, and people need to prove they have traits she admires before she'll open up to them. This is not the same thing as them having decided to become friends with her.

She's vegan, of the sort where her motivation is the simple mathematics of the damage to the environment. She doesn't care at all about the actual animal rights (until she finds people with abilities to talk to animals).

Zoe always tries to dress at least reasonably practically, and this is why her hair is almost always in a bun, she always wears boots, and, if she made the mistake of buying clothes without pockets, she will messily sew pockets into them.
