I didn't mean for her to become my most well developed Three Houses OC. Lorenz wasn't even in my house the first playthough. Just small notes for now.
Caltha is the daughter of a well known, and well connected merchant house from the Leicester Alliance.
She likes magic, astronomy, astrology, and tactics. Generally a very level-headed and honest person, it sometimes surprises people that she has such an intense interest in something that wouldn't be consider rooted in 'logic'.
Her father has a close business relationship with House Gloucester, so she's known Lorenz for a few years. They spend more time together when they were younger, and met occasionally over the years. Lorenz is the one that actually got her interested in studying magic in the first place, although she's never told him that.

Them ending up at the Officers Academy together was a surprise for both of them. They occasionally meet for tea and to talk, usually about magic. Lorenz will also find her to talk, especially when he wants to vent. Usually it's not something she's sympathetic about him for, and she's honest about that.
She has smacked him with a book once or twice when he's said something particularly egregious.
Shortly after they first met, Lorenz caught a cold. He was very over-dramatic about it, and Caltha snuck into his room to keep him company and read to him.
Caltha is actually part of a fraternal twin pair. She and her brother used to get along really well, but they've grown distant lately. Her brother thinks she doesn't pay as much attention to the family business as she should, and is furious that she seems completely disinterested in inheriting. He sees himself as taking on all the responsibility as she gets to play around. Joining the Officers Academy was her way of trying prove that she's actually trying to accomplish something on her own.
Sometimes has dark circles under her eyes and people think she's been studying all night. Really she was just watching a meteor shower or something. Sometimes drags Lorenz along.
'What did Lorenz do now?' is something that she has been known to say. A lot.
-Actually really likes tea, and makes her own blends most of the time.
-Eventual gremory. Has a hidden talent in faith. Has to be pushed into it because she didn't think that she would be very good at it.
-During the timeskip she used her family's trade routes to help refugees get to safer places, and channel supplies for them. Her father and mother weren't happy with her doing it, but in one of the few instances where she and her bother agree, he at least told them to let her do what she wanted since she never paid attention to the business much anyway.
-Always says she doesn't have the patience or talent for the trading and diplomacy that being a merchant requires, which is why her bother should be the new head of the family. It's only when Lorenz points out that what she was doing to help the refugees requied the same sort of skills, so clearly she was underselling herself - either purposly or unconsiously that she paused. It made her think, and later she admitted that he was right, and that was why she and her brother were so rocky. He knew what she could do, and was annoyed at her not doing her part. To him, even if she didn't enjoy it, she should be doing it for the sake of their family.
Caltha just doesn't have the drive her mother and father did to gather wealth and influence just for the sake of wealth and influnce. She wanted to do something that also helped others with it, and didn't see how just being a merchant could do that until she started helping the refugees. Her bother actually felt the same, but wasn't willing to ignore what their parents did, and their family, because of his own feelings.
-During the timeskip, her brother told her that they extended a possible marriage offer for her to house Gloucester, but it was rejected. It made her awkward around Lorenz for a while, until he confronted her about it, and she explained. She told him that she knew he would rejected, but thought it was rude of her family not even to consolt her about it. Lorenz is confused because he, never heard anything about a marriage offer from her family, and he would at least have been told. Caltha ends up wondering if it was just somethig her brother said to get under her skin, but notes that Lorenz looked almost hurt at how easily she accepted his possible rejection.
-During the acadmey phase, she forms a student study group for magic.
-Her family actually has something of a rivarly with Ignatz's family. It makes him awkward around her sometime, much to her exasperation.
-After she and Lorenz finally admited they can't imagine life without each other, she finds out that Lorenz's idea of romantic seduction invovled a lot of candles and rose petals scattered around the bedroom. Caltha might have accidently hurt his feelings the first time he tried it because she actually giggled a little. She appreciated the effort and feeling Lorenz was putting in, but it was such a Lorenz thing to do she found it a bit funny.
