Was a veternarian for the Overseers, but after Daud killed an Overseer for a contract, he got caught in the stampede to find Daud. In the process, he suffered a severe head trauma. After the Overseers retreated, he ran into Daud and convinced (with great difficulty due to his now limited speech) him to take him into the Whalers as their first proper medic.
