Clan: Riverclan (of Windclan descent)

Age: I have no idea right now tBH

Personality (TLDR): Bubbly and social, insecure about her bloodline. Always full of energy!

Fernshine's mother, Dawnflight, was originally a Windclan cat before she faced punishment for helping Riverclan in their time of need. The clan was low on life-saving herbs and medicines, and they had recently faced a vicious battle with a clan of rogues. No other clan would come to their aid, but she went against the word of her leader to assist them. Many lives were saved that day, but she was exiled for directly disobeying orders from the leader, particularly considering this took place during a period of intense rivalry between the two clans. Riverclan, thankful for all she had done for them, welcomed her into the clan, but not without tension. The Riverclan cats were uneasy about having a Windclan cat in their ranks, and openly expressed their discontent. After a while, though, they began to warm up to her, and she met Fernshine's father, Owltuft.

The two became mates, and soon Fernshine was born; the only kit of that litter. As she grew up, she faced some harassment from her clanmates over being half-Windclan by blood. She learned to ignore it, as only a few cats looked down on her for her bloodline (inter-clan relationships had been increasingly common over the last few generations), but the insecurity of not being pure Riverclan never left her. Rather than focus on training for battles or learning to hunt forest prey, she spent all her time trying to become the "perfect" Riverclan cat. She had the body of her Windclan mother- built for speed and running on the moor- but she soon became one of the most efficient fishers and was able to swim faster than even the more seasoned warriors. Despite her Windclan stature, she is also capable of swimming against powerful currents. This only proved to strengthen her legs, so she can run at very high speeds as well. However, this came at a price-- she is a little below average in catching forest prey due to how little experience she had. As such, her hunting abilities are extremely hindered when the river is frozen. On top of this, she isn't built for battle. When facing conflict, she relies on either outwitting her opponent, using her speed to her advantage, or teaming up with another clanmate. Her high speed serves a unique purpose for reaching camp quickly when a patrol needs backup or retrieving herbs from the medicine den in the midst of battle.
