shin is acquainted with marie. shin has figured out that ayaka has told marie that shin is basically her dog, and so their interactions aren’t exactly amicable. shin doesn’t want to piss off marie though, since she’s dating ayaka, and shin worries that if he were to get on marie’s bad side ayaka would take her girlfriend’s side over him. as such, shin is curt, but polite around marie, and does his best to ignore her jokes at his expense. shin also thinks marie is a little weird even beyond the “constantly making fun of him” part, and doesn’t really know what ayaka sees in her.
marie and shin are acquainted. ayaka has told marie (although, not in gratutious detail) about how she feels about shin, and marie has translated that into shin is basically ayaka’s loyal dog. she’s not entirely aware of his pathological liar status, but her experiences with harmony have given her enough intuition to know something is up. she enjoys pushing his buttons to try to get a rise out of him, but she never tries to seriously anger him. somehow, ayaka sees something in him, even if it’s just a physical relationship, and marie doesn’t want to push him away entirely and upset ayaka.
shin and ayaka are friends with benefits. the two are bonded from whatever incident they went through in japan, though their relationship appears tenuous to outsiders. ayaka is the one person able to see through shin’s layers of deception, and he stays close to her partially out of fear she will tear down his walls. the other part is because through their physical relationship he’s developed a genuine crush on her, despite her having a mild to moderate distaste for him outside of the bedroom. he loves her and fears her, and she barely cares about him.
ayaka and shin are friends with benefits. despite ayaka disliking shin outside of the bedroom, the two share a bond beyond words related to the still unknown incident they had in japan. ayaka is aware of shin’s nature as a pathological liar, although she doesn’t care enough about him either way to reveal it. she is aware of his crush on her and is ambivalent. she would say views him as a means to an end, and nothing more.
shin and nashira are friends. shin sort of views nashira as an older sister figure, although he would never admit it to her. he appreciates that she gave him a job when he had basically zero qualifications for it. he is annoyed at times by her trying to subtly pry into his past, and pretty much gives her a different answer every time she asks. he is unaware of the bakery’s true purpose as an information gathering hub. he looks up to her as someone who has their life together, although it’s far from the grandiose stories he weaves up for himself.
