At a young age, Coraline had a rough childhood, her abusive parents forced her to collect hundreds of shells and bits of coral in order to make necklaces that they would then sell to tourists keeping the money for themselves, they would also barely feed her, and any attempt to argue with them would result in a beating followed by hours locked in a cold cellar with the only light coming from between the floor boards of the first floor.
One day the village was raided by the feared pirate Captain Sylane, known to cause massive destruction and leaving barely little to no survivors.
At the sight of his ship Coraline's parents grabbed everything of valuable and hid in the cellar, leaving her outside to say that she lives alone to any invading pirates, and to suffer by their hands if necessary in order to keep them safe.
Unfortunately for them, Coraline finally had enough, and when the pirates entered the house, she promptly revealed the secret area in exchange for her own life, getting them killed in the process.
Coraline didn't feel sad or angry as she saw her parents die in front of her, instead she became extremely grateful to finally be free from her old life, and determined to repay Captain Sylane the favor for freeing her.
Being raised amongst pirates contributed to a very violent, angry and stubborn nature, only Sir Paley, who recruited her, tried to create some good memories in her childhood over the years, everyone else she either ignores or punches.
Coraline takes especial pleasure in hurting or defeating those who claim to be better than her, and as the years passed she became manipulative and easily obsessive over the image others have of her, especially captain Sylane, even though they never exchanged words directly.
Coraline currently sharing a cabin with Salton and Dunley in Sir Paley's ship, but it's her dream to one day join Sylane's personal crew in his huge warship, other crewmembers like Weaver know how desperate she is for this and mock her for it.
Sylane won Coraline's undying loyalty when one of his raids resulted in her abusive parent's death, freeing her.
Since then she vowed to do anything and everything for him, and desperately wants his recognition.
Being second in command to the captain, he is one of the two people that Coraline takes orders from.
Paley tried his best to give Coraline a childhood, and wants her to have a good life, even when she keeps pushing the limits of his patience.
One of the few people she hangs out with, mostly because they share a cabin.
Salton is the drummer, he helps to coordinate the rowing whenever the it needs to travel faster.
He is Weaver's younger brother, but has little in common with him
One of the few people she hangs out with, mostly because they share a cabin.
Dunley was never much of a fighter, being on the crew mostly to mop the floors and cook, people constantly make fun of him for being a coward but he ignores it.
He is also a somewhat talented mechanic.
This man loves to harass Coraline, which usually ends up in a violent punch or kick to his face.
Despite the consistent violent feedback he keeps doing it, hoping to one day beat her in a fight and save his manliness from the constant embarrassment of being beaten by a woman.
This silent giant never speaks much with Coraline, that's probably why she doesn't hate him.
A member of the King's royal soldiers, Kyra managed to beat Coraline in front of the crew, this embarrassment has since then caused Coraline to direct most of her fury towards beating her and her allies.
