Tsubaki

Extroverted, laughs a lot, usually in good mood, keeps his problems to himself most of the time, tries to cheer others up as good as possible, generally tries to lift the mood.

Tsubaki grew up pretty normal. He's an only child, so his family consists of him, his parents and their dog (a husky) His mother is often home doing house work, his father works an office job. Tsubaki himself likes music, fashion, karaoke, going out with friends, etc. At school he's the leader of the kendo club. Overall he's living a pretty average life. However this life would change pretty soon.

One day a guy joins his class. An exchange student. Tsubaki was immediately attracted to him, as the guy introduced himself. Grimm wasn't a usual name but he didn't really wonder about it that much at the time. The two went on talking a bit at school occasionally, but Grimm wasn't really interested in people in general. He spent most of his time alone or hanging out with a guy from the year below.
At the time Tsubaki reunited with a childhood friend one year younger than him. He didn't realize they were at the same school until Unnamed - the childhood friend joined the Kendo club. At first they got along, talking about stories they remembered from their childhood and so on, however, they both noticed, how different they grew up. Unnamed became kind of stiff. He became polite, disciplined and very hung up on rules and order. Likely due to the influence of his parents. Tsubaki on the other hand developed in the opposite direction. He loved wearing unusual fancy clothes, experimenting with his style, generally embracing his individuality. Unnamed started feeling a bit uncomfortable around his senpai, as he first met him outside of school, fearing his parents wouldn't approve of the friendship. Tsubaki noticed this and decided to keep some distance.
In the meantime Tsubaki started hanging out with William. A guy who had recently moved to Japan from England. They met during shopping and noticed their similar tastes. They would often meet, chat and and just hang out with each other.

After talking to William for a while and asking his advice (William does like to play hobby psychologist... And he's pretty good at it, people usually thank him afterwards) Tsubaki decided it was time to stop running away. He didn't like being this distant with Unnamed, a person he used to be very good friends with. So he worked up the courage to ask Unnamed to meet him. And this time he didn't try to dress 'normal' so that Unnamed would feel comfortable, this time he just came as he would when meeting other friends, such as William. So they met... And obviously unnamed was surprised. However, he did not react negatively. He didn't try to be distant or look away. They finally had their first real conversation in years.
It was a fun conversation. They exchanged about their hobbys what they like to do outside of school, they noticed how incredibly different they were but it wasn't bad at all. Unnamed was indeed a bit uncomfortable when they first met during Kendo club meeting, however after watching his senpai for a while, the feeling disappeared on its own.
After that they met a few more times, sometimes William joined them as well, although... He was a bit too much for Unnamed, to feel comfortable around. In the meantime, Tsubakis crush on Grimm only got worse. Hearing Unnamed talk about his crush, a girl a lot, at one point Tsubaki slipped and said that he had a crush as well. It only took a bit of interrogation on Unnamed's pert to find out who it was. Unnamed didn't really think it would be a guy so he was slightly shocked at first but after a moment of silence thinking through everything he knew about Tsubaki, it made sense to him and he decided to support him fully.
With new found confidence, Tsubaki tried talking more to Grimm, at some point hinting at the fact that he was gay. Surprisingly Grimm said something similar a few days later as well, so Tsubaki finally decided to ignore his fear of rejection and ask him on a date. To his surprise Grimm agreed. He didn't seem that interested, more like 'Well we can do one date and see how it goes, not expecting much though' but the fact that he agreed meant there was a chance. Tsubaki spent a lot of time preparing for it, hoping he could impress Grimm. Picking a good location, clothes, making reservations and so on. He was very serious. It seemed to pay off, when Grimm saw him he had a totally different look in his eyes than before. He obviously didn't expect this kind of style from a seemingly normal guy at school.

They went on a second and third date until one day they they finally became a couple. However things didn't go so smoothly from there. From prior conversations, Tsubaki knew there was something not quite normal about Grimm. And after spending more time with him he started noticing weird things. Grimm often just left, telling him he had to do something, then he'd be back after a few days. He also still spent lots of time with, the guy from Unnameds class he was hanging out with before and... apparently had a crush on before he ment Tsubaki. This kind of made him a bit uncomfortable. Grimm assured him everything was alright but it was hard to trust these words. Tsubaki decided to tell William and ask him what to do, as he never really got an answer when he asked Grimm about it. William didn't really know what to do either but he assured him he'd think of a solution.
Before getting an answer from either one of them, tho, something happened. Tsubaki got abducted. His kidnappers apparently had some kind of super human abilities. He did manage to get some infos from their conversations. Lines like "We need to do something about Grimm" or "The master told us abducting this guy would lead him in a trap" or "hopefully these idiotic fairies won't ruin the plan" and so on. Tsubaki was worried about himself at first but it seemed like this was some kind of bigger thing.

Confused he tried to make sense of everything and find a way up but he was pretty much helpless, until Victor appeared, the guy Grimm was hanging out with. After him came Grimm. Victor asked something, Grimm nodded. The kidnappers were grinning. Apparently they got them right where they wanted them. Then something weird happened with Grimm. He started getting darker, almost black until his body dissolved into a black mass, the shadowy thing somehow went right into Victors arm. Then black furry ears came out of his head and a tail started growing. He controlled some kind of black mass... Shadows? And a very unusual fight started. Not just Victor also the kidnappers had weird abilities. Tsubaki couldn't really follow everything, but apparently the kidnappers lost. Grimm parted from Victor's body again and ran over to Tsubaki, asking him if everything was alright.
Tsubaki was alright, the kidnappers didn't do anything to him. Luckily. But he wanted to know what was going on. How Grimm and Victor just fused somehow and why they had these abilities, what the kidnappers were talking about and all that.

The three of them left the place of the crime and bought some drinks, while Victor started explaining. How a creature called Titania came to this world to play her little game, giving some people powers of darkness to commit crimes and others the ability to fight these beings. You could call them magical girls. Victors girlfriend was one of them. But as she refused to fight, she was targeted and got into more and more dangerous situations and Victor couldn't do anything about it. Grimm was another creature similar to Titania, however he stayed in the shadows for most of his time. He decided to help Victor protect his girlfriend though, because he felt drawn to him. As Victor realized that Grimm had a crush on him, he pressured him to get to know more people (Also by going to school) to stop focussing on him alone. And well... It worked, Grimm is still helping out Victor but now his focus is on Tsubaki, rather than a one sided crush. However both of them seemed to be confused, as they were helped by someone. Without that they might've lost to the kidnappers as they apparently had set up a trap to reduce their powers. The helper was neither magical girl, nor a creature similar to Grimm, it was someone very different. Maybe they will find out one day.
Obviously that all sounded kinda weird and too magical, however after what he saw Tsubaki believed it. And he knew as Grimms boyfriend he was now part of the whole dilemma. Well... His life wasn't easy because of that, but at least there weren't any secrets anymore. Also... Victor was friends with the girl Unnamed had a crush on. So he did see an opportunity there as well. He decided to take the good parts of it. And it worked. Their lives are a bit more adventurous than normal but in general Tsubaki has a great life now.
