Beau is Mera's older brother! Mera loves to tease and prod at Beau to show affection, but will defend him with their life if anyone tries the same in front of them. They're fiercely protective of him, even though they're the younger sibling, and they wouldn't trade him as their brother for anything.
The two of them are very close to eachother, as far as siblings go. Because of their father's pressure to be the best they can be, there's sometimes a lot of tension between Mera and Beau, especially when Beau is scolded for not being as good at Aegis stuff as Mera. This causes arguments between them, as well as the normal occassional sibling fights, but they really do care about eachother.
Mera and Keets, as well as their mutual friend Avery, were really close as kids, but Mera moved when they were young and the two have been apart ever since.
That is, until recently, when the two re-met through the Seeker's Circle. Mera was excited to see her old friend again, eagerly trying to get reacquainted. While they aren't as close as they were when they were kids, Mera is certainly trying to rekindle their friendship, despite how closed-off Keets is now. And if Mera thinks they're cute, thats her business, and hers alone, thank you very much.

MAGIC ELEMENT
The divine element is the rarest and includes spiritual and clairvoyant abilities. It is an element that serves as the opposite to the tangible ash element, encompassing will, fate, luck, and soul.
MAGIC ELEMENT
The marrow element is one of two types of change elements. Marrow represents adaptation and change against the natural order of things. Marrow users are often shapeshifters, between either set or various forms and they shift with emotion. Marrow is the opposite of blood.
MURK
The murk element is the most unrefined element, and is identified by its energy excess. Murk can often amplify the effects of other magics, or overpower others by sheer force. Murk is the opposite of clear.

FYSA: HALO
This is a passive fysa that all rrex have from birth. It creates a halo of light (called 'crowns') above or around a rrex's head. A halo's shape, brightness, and color often reflects a rrex's soul and occasionally emotion. To display one's halo is a symbol of pride, and as a prideful species, most rrex almost always display their halos.
Extremely humble or broken rrex wouldn't display a crown, as well as certain rrex wanting to hide theirs for a specific reason:
- for stealth (as crowns do give off light)
- to hide emotional state
- to appear less prideful and more friendly towards others of different species
- the rrex are hermits, wanderers, or isolated
- rrex who lose love of their country and thus have no pride
Although crowns often reflect emotional state in small ways (brightness, resonance/frequency, sometimes rotation/speed), these can be controlled with conscious thought and practice, like controlling one's own breathing. Crowns that change drastically (color, size, shape) are called stateshift crowns, and often reflect very intense or specific modes of thought or emotion.
The common rrex is unlikely to unlock their full potential, but rogues and pariahs are more likely to discover more fysa down the line. This is especially true for those who willingly give up their halo ability, as the halo is a symbol of a rrex's pride and sense of self.
