Appearance Time makes him forget his human appearance, but he will never forget the face of his wife, engraved in the stone.
He's huge, when sitting, the head an average-sized human go at the level of his chest.
His eyes are cyan blue because he looked too much at the sky to find the Gods.
The markings on his body seem to have been made with henna. They appear to not fade out. It's a seal that connects him to the Gods
He seems to not age either.

Aionos' personality He's really passive. Sometimes it seems like he's not even here.
He lost his strong personality to become more erased. He learned patience.
The only time his anger comes back is when someone comes to close to the grave he protect.
He becomes mad, growls and chases the intruders.

If you are very lucky, you can hear him sing lament in the distance.
His voice is deep and melodic, it sounds exactly like a dissonant double bass.

Backstory He was a powerful warrior. Proud and fierce, but his pride caused his loss.
The tragedy of his lifetime was the murder of his wife that he loved more than his own soul.
He accused the Gods of stealing everything he had, saying they were responsible of his misery.
He thought he was strong enough to challenge the Gods, hoping to be able to get back the only one he loved.
But they laugh at his effrontery, and turned him into a sphinx.
By this action, they condemned him to keep for eternity the tomb of his beloved wife.
