Angel exists throughout the Aligned continuity - namely TFP and RID2015. Her primary purpose within the two storylines is as the airborne recon scout through the events of Prime, and through some of RID2015 - though later in RID she works alongside Denny (occasionally) for cover work - when she doesn’t, she performs some cross-country flights to communicate with Agent Fowler and Rafael Esquivel (the latter she will sometimes bring to Rusty Acres so that the youngster can see Bumblebee and the new team.)

With the events of One Shall Fall, (TFP), she unfortunately undergoes an elevated concentration of dark Energon due to an attack from Megatron - alongside the youngest of the Omega Team’s human counterparts - Rafael. While Raf’s wounds were easier to reverse with the use of Energon therapy, Angel required a much more sustained method of dealing with her injuries.
Under anesthesia provided by June Darby - and with the use of a retrofitted cardiac filter and pacemaker built by both June and Ratchet - Angel underwent a very rushed open heart procedure where she received the CEDE implant. This implant would cycle Energon (and later, Synth-En when Ratchet perfected the formula) through Angel’s bloodstream - and a fresh supply of Energon (given via injection) would be required for it to work continuously.

After receiving the implant, Angel was mostly confined to the Omega Base for about a week. It’s during this time that she can better build her relationships with the members on the team.

Angel’s Relationships (TFP):
Noran Laramie: Angel’s father, flight instructor, and ATC operator. He’s a sarcastic and sometimes grumpy Arapahoe man from Colorado. He and Angel typically get along well, but he does have a temper when he’s stressed. This has led to more than a few arguments between the father and daughter team, but they are usually quick to reconcile after the fact. When he meets the Autobots (they have to save Noran from an attack by Blitzwing), he’s a little confused by their presence and their overall existence, but takes Angel’s word that they don’t mean the Earth (or his daughter) any harm.

Thunder: A black and tan Belgian Malinois and Angel’s beloved canine companion. He’s typically clumsy, but is usually very good about coming through for his mistress in order to protect Autobot secrets or keep her in good spirits. In fact, it was his presence that helped her heal during her week stuck in the Omega Base.

Jack Darby: The first human on Team Prime she encounters - she actually nearly runs him over with her plane during an emergency landing. They later form a sort of little-brother-older-sister bond, where Jack will ask her for advice about dealing with high school and girls, and she will tease and encourage whenever needed. This has led into some hijinx as far as trying to educate Jack on how to interact with the opposite sex, but it doesn’t usually go beyond him stumbling on his own words (or his feet).

Arcee: The first Cybertronian member of Team Prime she encounters - was also nearly run over by Angel’s plane. Things were almost able to keep secret until Arcee’s proximity alarm (which sounds off while Jack is standing several feet away from Arcee’s bike mode) completely gave things away and both she and Jack had to tug Angel into the base, away from the prying optics of overhead Decepticon jets. Arcee is a little cold towards Angel at first, but they eventually get to the point that they have actual discussions and some friendly banter (as well as teaming up for recon missions) that help them become good friends.
