Profile
Chekkov was a brilliant strategist serving for the machine-driven military power, the Demagogue. They spent their life entirely committed to their military career. Little is known about their personal affairs except that colony birth records indicate they have a child floating around somewhere, and a partner who exceeded their reputation as a menace.
ABOUT
Tall and lithe, Chekkov is considered appealing by most Eusocial standards. They have slightly lighter eyes than average, making it a bit hard to break their near-constant eye contact in the first place. Long black fluff frames their face, forcing their features out in even more stark constrast.
- The hair and the ruff around their neck connect to each other! It's like a wimpy mane.
- They have some stubble! That's pretty much optional.
- Eusocials have a mix of semi-flexible keratinized plating and soft black skin below. The plating on their face is mobile, and its form can be broken for sake of making an expression more clear.
- Three fingers! Two digits and a thumb. Intended to look insectoid!
History
(NOTE i:) Little remains about Chekkov besides what is in records and what personal accounts carry. This guy's a pain in the ass to find information on, but they apparently got ties back to another subject I'm trying to look into. --Eddie
(NOTE ii:) Here's what we know so far: They were born to unknown parents on a large eusocial colony, Ndach. They were described as having major issues with authority. So of course they threw them in for military grooming, hoping it might snap them into shape or whatever. That shit always goes well. They were paired off with another kid, better mannered, but sort of useless otherwise. Notes seem to indicate this helped.
(NOTE iii:) Their military bullshit is a little better understood. Chekkov largely was doing stuff on their colony's behalf, cleaning up messes and putting out some pretty nasty fires that nobody else wanted to deal with. The colony was already allied with Demagogue, so it didn't take them long to notice these guys didn't mind dirty work, and actually exceled at it. They plucked Chekkov and their team out for special ops. Dealing with faeries, specifically. At first field missions hunting the things, but slowly, their team became something of Ahabs for godlikes.
They were given a lab team as well as more soldiers, and finally, they were able to kinde retreat from the heat. Pull strings from the shadows. It stayed that way for years, too, right up until their supposed death. Hell, we don't even have actual certification as to whether or not they actually died. And these fucking bugs love keeping records. Might have a source now, though. -- Eddie
