Hideo Matsumoto's Links
"I hate that she keeps being right."
Hideo is used to people using emotional reasoning on him as an argument for why he should act in a different manner. Because Aimi has instead used logic, he doesn't exactly know what to think about it or how to react. It also doesn't help when he can't refute said logic, and thus he now spends time with her more often. He can't deny that she shows clear signs of intelligence and also secretly really likes her chocolate-based creations (although he'll never admit it). What he doesn't understand is why she wants to be around him to begin with.
"i can't wait to see you smile.... trust me, it'll happen, aha!"
while she doesn't understand a whole ton relating to hideo juuuust yet, she's slowly chipping away at him and trying to get closer. she doesn't have any particular motive for trying to push for this so hard, she's just been a naturally very friendly person and a true believer of the good in others. she believes that despite all of the horror of his country, there's a good person down there somewhere. she's willing to spend a while finding that part of him.
"A poor excuse for a leader."
Hideo will admit that he's always learning and can improve with how he runs things, but he doesn't do anything close to what Mega does. He views Mega as incredibly childish, especially with some of the laws they implement (like the law against misspelling their name which includes the symbols). He hates Mega basically for using his country in a way that he views as a child playing in a sandbox.
"oho~! this boy has such a bitter heart... you remind me of a damsel in distress, matsumoto-saa~ ohoho, yes, how truly bitter you are!"
it's very difficult to tell what megaera actually thinks of hideo, but from their actions and words, they seem to love teasing him. they think that he's a bit too strict and doesn't know how to have fun - even if running a country isn't the most appropriate grounds for 'having fun' on. they think that hideo is fun to play with and they enjoy talking with him, it seems.
