Shiketsu: Mikka Katsura

Mikka's life was pretty much the best in her eyes by any sort of standard. An only child to parents who were pretty well off, received anything she could ever want, and lived in a wonderful neighborhood growing up.  In fact, it was almost the best neighborhood she could gotten, as it was just a street over from the one where her childhood crush, friend, and rival lived. She befriended Bakugo and Midoriya in their kindergarten years, though of course she stuck closer to Bakugo than anyone else. When their quirks had developed (others being QUITE concerned at the quirk she received), the two would often test them against one another, and it was apparent they had similar ego and pride when it came to them. There would often be fights on whose was better/stronger/more amazing and it was always a test between them. Despite their friendship, or maybe because of their friendship, the two got into bullying one another as they got older. But while Bakugo would get upset and yell at the things she did and said, Mikka would only get more smug and prideful in response (until he did something and made her snap). But, one could even say that they were still acting like kids, in regards of "bullying someone because you like them", though both never admitted or accepted those feelings to themselves.

As they grew up, despite the verbal and physical fights the two would get into, the two were definitely friends (even if he would never admit that). They respected each other's strength, as well as the fact they could keep up with one another, whether it be their quirks or their wits. And growing up beside one another, they got to see their strengths grow, and in their own way encourage one another, even if it always looked like they were pissed with one another or getting into fights. Though through all of this, people noticed even being so young that Mikka....changed a bit, when it came to Bakugo. Girls being around or fawning over him got her irritated, making her act sickly sweet towards them and even abusing her place as Bakugo's friend to give them bad advice on asking him out (to which he always told them to piss off and insult them, which is just as she knew he would).  She did this so expertly though that people noticed a change, but never saw the things she did because of it under the surface. Most chalked it up to jealousy just from the two being so close. Mikka spent many years growing up in this neighborhood, attending elementary alongside Midoriya and Bakugo, and it was perfect for her. However, just as she began middle school, a sudden change at her father's forced the family to move out of the city. During this point of her life, she had realized her crush on Bakugo but couldn't even get herself to tell him before leaving. Instead, she made him promise to not forget her...'cause she'd be back for him to kick his ass one day and take the #1 hero spot out from under him. Another small fight ensued before she had to leave, and maybe it was wishful thinking but she thought he looked a little upset from something other than their fight as she did.

Life in her new city wasn't as bad as she thought it was going to be and actually enjoyed it quite a bit. She easily made some good friends, loved the sights and things to do in the city, and best of all the heroes it had. A bigger city meant bigger villains and bigger heroes, and seeing them all there only sparked a bigger fire in her for her dream of becoming a hero. She spent time training on her own alongside all of her school studies. The two years of middle school for her passed the slowest possible way, wanting nothing more than her for chance to start training to become a hero to come. But, finally, she was able to take that first step. After discussing with her parents her wants to go to UA Academy in their old city and her dreams of wanting to become a hero, the family decided should she get into any of the Academies for Heroism, they would move back to continue her schooling. Her father would be able to transfer and allow her that chance, as it was important to her so he would make sure she got her chance. However, due to unforseen circumstances with her work, she was forced to apply/transfer a few weeks into her first year of high school at a basic school. 

When the time finally came, Mikka and her mother traveled to the schools for her to partake in the entrance exams.  As a safety precaution, Mikka applied for not only UA as her main choice, but for Shiketsu and Ketsubutsu as backup. However, as she went to take the exam for UA, they informed her that she wouldn't be allowed to attend due to the attendance of another within the school; Bakugo, Katsuki. For her, this was a mix of emotion; excited to know her old friend and rival Bakugo was there, but saddened and disappointed that she was being barred from attending UA. Though, it wasn't as if she didn't understand why. She and her mother were informed that due to prior incidents during their elementary and middle school years of escalating fights and damage, no matter the reason, the two were deemed too chaotic to be around one another. But rather than let this hinder her, she decided she would still work her way to Pro Hero, and come at her rival in an all new way instead. Taking this newfound ideal to heart, she went on to apply at her backup choices, being accepted into Shiketsu Academy and starting ASAP. 

She spent her first year at Shiketsu rising through the Academic and Heroic training ranks, making her way to the top of her class and even taking a Class Rep spot. She grew to be quite a name in her school, many people saying she's a shoo in for her future as a Hero and being in one of the top ranks. And she lived to hear those comments, only skyrocketing her pride and confidence (and ego). Even more so when came time for UA Sports Festival that she watched intensely, her crush once again reigniting when seeing Bakugo fight and how far his Quirk had come, unable to wait to see him again.

Mikka wouldn't see Bakugo again until the Provisional Exams, but seeing being the extent of it. Passing by him at a distance, but being unable to confront him at all due to taking the exam with her classmates. As much as she wanted to see him, she'd had to let it go....but, it did give her a newfound sight. Him being awfully close and chummy with a blond and red haired boy. A side that, despite still being the angry boy he was, was new for her to see...and she didn't know if she liked it. She finally reconnected with him shortly after the exams, showing up up at UA, much to Bakugo surprise and Midoriya's worry. And just like old times, the two had fallen back into their ways of trying to one up one another and her picking on him to make him upset on purpose, even challenging one another to a fight to test whose Quirk was better now, a fight that still seems to continue every time they see each other. Though, despite rekindling with her old friend, things weren't the same as they were when they were kids. He was now surrounded by so many people, so many people getting so close to him.Almost as if her place had been taken, as if she had been forgotten. It rubbed her feelings raw and makes a small agitation in her grow. But! She would make due!...for now. All that mattered is being in his life again.

And this time, she plans to stay there, whether he liked it or not. And unbeknownst to her, and still trying not to admit it to himself, he did.
