Itzal acts like fatherly figure and a responsible individual under Kin's care. He focuses on his tasks when necessary. He may sound cold and unfriendly towards people, Itzal believes it is embarrassing to become sensitive and loving cute stuff. He is caring and would become flustered when receiving affection. With Kin; however, he treats as if she was his own daughter. Because of Itzal being restricted in Kin's shadow and soul for several years, he became synchronized with Kin and is willing to aid her.

Background

Itzal was previously a corvus and part of the Babylon Rogues a long time ago. A proud inventor, lover of musical instruments, and a Babylon Rogue thief. Itzal was a very known member of his Rogues group and became leader. Because of his fame, someone in his group grew jealous and wanted his power to lead. He was cursed into a book by his partner, Baltazar the Owl, to claim credit for his inventions and become leader of the group section. He used to have a family, a wife and a daughter, but they are deceased because of the years going by. 

Many years later, a young female hedgehog named Princess Lithia (Kin at the time) became cursed after reading an evil book and released him. Upon releasing him, Lithia goes into a nightmare inflicted coma. After a week in a coma, a mage came to aid Princess Lithia. She regained consciousness; however, the mage failed to remove the spirit from her body and was trapped in her own shadow, bound to her soul. The mage makes her 4 sets of magical bracelets to control Itzal from consuming her. The day after, an invader enters the princess' room and attempted to kidnap the young girl. The kidnapper took her mother’s life, who died during the struggle protecting her daughter. The young hedgehog was whisked away from her home by Queen Alyce's murderer. However, soon after, Itzal (in Lithia's body) attacks the kidnapper and lost their grip to hold the little girl, falling below the vast forest and landed within the forest's shadows. Thanks to the dark spirit, she is still alive. However, Lithia has lost her memory in the result of the Mage's doing, as well as her loss of her original colors on her body. Itzal created a new identity after realizing her memory loss, naming her Kin.
