Dax

Personality

Dax's personality doesn't differ much from that of typical Irkens. She's intimidating, calm and collected in most situations. Dax, however, doesn't externally show fear or frustration unless she loses her composure. Her voice is steady; depending on who she's speaking with, it could even be considered gentle. Dax, unlike other members of her race, has a soft spot for smeets. She enjoys caring for them but is unable to do so.

She's very precise in everything she does, making her a perfect candidate for an Irken technician. Dax's own impulse control aides her greatly. She lets her emotions build up in silence and rarely ever has an outburst. This is evident from her interactions with Kip and Zim.

History

When Dax was born, she was coded as an engineer. All of that data was downloaded into her PAK, as it was what she was meant to do. Dax's colony was hatched specifically for that purpose. The Tallest often create smeets for jobs that need to be filled whenever they please. At first, she was fine with this; alas, as time went on, Dax realized that she didn't want to be a technician. However, she actually enjoyed her job. In addition to this, Dax was one of Irk's top engineers. On occasion, she'd be sent out to newly-conquered planets as part of an Irken set-up crew. Dax is a skilled technician, but she longed to be a pilot of the Massive. Her numerous requests for a PAK recoding were denied by the Control Brains due to her achievements in engineering; the Irken Empire benefitted from her help. This led Dax to be noticed by Tallest Miyuki.

Dax witnessed Tallest Miyuki's death firsthand. Although she wasn't there to see Tallest Spork's death, the loss of two Tallest greatly upset her. Tallest Red and Tallest Purple were appointed shortly after. Eventually, the current Tallest decided that Zim was too much of a nuisance. Murdering a fellow Irken is HIGHLY ILLEGAL; they had to pick someone with a motive. The Tallest were aware of Dax's blatant distaste for Zim, as well as her long record of recoding requests. They made her an offer: Pretend to be an invader to kill Zim, and she would be offically recoded as a pilot.

She was estatic. Normally, she'd be highly opposed to murder despite the bribe. However, Dax's hatred for Zim made it personal; plus, how could she refuse a mission from her Tallest? Dax accepted, heading off to Earth under the ruse of conquering a new planet; her coworkers were simply told that she had been recoded and left the tech branch.

When she arrived to Earth, she quickly noticed two Irkens living at Zim's base. Apparently, The Tallest sent a younger, annoying Invader to Earth. Dax refused to kill a young Irken, stating that it wasn't part of the mission. She stalks Zim at school when needed, but does not attend regularly; she disguises as a human janitor to infiltrate the school. Dax is taller than human children, so it was the best fit. Still, Dib was an obstacle. When he realized that Dax was here to destroy Zim, he attempted to form a temporary alliance. Dax refused, replying that she didn't need his help at all. Still, Dax was somewhat kind to Dib; she couldn't bring herself to be mean to a human smeet. This resulted in an odd 'friendship' between the two. Eventually, they did start to work together to bring down Zim. Dax couldn't let Kip figure out her mission. The Tallest explicitly said that her mission was to be a secret; if anyone found out, she would instantly fail.

Unfortunately, Kip stumbled upon one of Dax's attempts on Zim's life. Dax had previously tried to 'help' Kip by convincing her that Zim was a horrible invader. Kip felt betrayed by Dax's secret mission, and defended Zim. Kip reported Dax to the Tallest, which resulted in the Tallest exiling Dax from Irk and blaming her for the entire mission. The Tallest took no responsibility and used Dax as a scapegoat. Dax, against Dib's advice, left Earth soon after that. She changes the logo on her uniform to match her newly formed resistance. Dax's new personal mission was to take down the Irken Empire for what they did to her.

During the events of "Enter the Florpus", Dax returns to Earth after seeing bizzare energy readings and the planet's teleportation gimmick. She teams up with Dib once again to stop Zim from destroying Earth. Dax and Kip are still on bad terms. After stopping Earth's demise, Dax leaves once again. By this point, her resistance group (Now simply known as 'The Resistance') is growing. Allied with the Resisty and spies on Planet Vort, Dax leads several attacks on Irk as well as The Massive.

Relationships

Zim

Zim and Dax do not get along in the slightest. Upon finding out about Zim killing Tallest Miyuki and Tallest Spork, Dax lost any hope of ever liking him. She believes that Zim is incompetent. Zim, on the other hand, finds Dax to just be annoying. She scares him in a way; Zim would never admit to being spooked by anything. Thus, Zim won't show it, but he's scared of the person that was hired to kill him. A shocking concept, right? They insult each other constantly; 'Defect' and 'Traitor' are popular insults flung from both sides.

Trivia

• Dax is 5'3 ft tall. She's taller than Dib and Zim, but still much shorter than the Tallest.
• She was never given a SIR unit because she's not actually an invader.
• The Resistance's ship was designed and partially built by her.
