Takes over Sorrel's interrogation when the General is captured by the rebels. Doesn't seem anywhere near as enthusiastic about the job as he was, and occasionally hints that she doesn't approve of his methods. Still, she has a job to do, and her superiors expect results.
Sorrel's escape attempt was arguably her fault, so out of desperation to avoid reprimand Renirons meets with the rebels and tries to strong-arm them into an unfavorable hostage exchange. The attempt backfires when Other kills her soldiers and stabs her.
In meta news, she wasn't originally intended to survive the stabbing, but I accidentally wrote in too much sexual tension between her and Sorrel so now I can't kill her. She'll recover in the rebel base, eventually switch sides to provide valuable information to the rebels, and end up with a cute space gf (who doesn't associate her with a traumatic pow experience).
