Monique

Backstory

Monique had grown up with a loving family and a stable home. She has never known real struggle and has always known a comfortable life. She was never rich in any way, but she was never really poor either. Throughout her childhood, she had always had a lot of trouble making friends and was an outcast. Like literally, she would always be several steps away and behind the crowd. Because of this, she was often lonely and any friend she did manage to make, she would almost worship. This became a problem later on. Her best friend, during her younger years, betrayed her and since then Monique has been more closed off.

After the heartbreak, Monique recovered and decided to put her focus on studying. She met a few other friends, but they later drifted away. She never really communicated much, which was the reason people left. Seeing this, she sought to fix this and performed a sort of self-therapy. It helped and she grew a bit as a person. She became a little more open and friendly, but her walls never really came down.

Monique has become infatuated with someone once, but it didn’t work out between them. At the time, she didn’t know about her asexuality. After that experience, however, she soon discovered what it was and now identifies as such. Though she has never fallen in love, she dreams of one day finding the one. She has become very interested in horoscopes, dreams, and spirituality. She remains slightly skeptical about it, but those subjects give her hope.

Present Day

Monique has not found a passion yet and the thought of never finding one depresses her.  She knows she loves science and helping others out, so she is going to dedicate her life to studying Microbiology.  It is an interesting subject to her, but she still has a lot to learn.  She is determined, though the thing stopping her is her laziness.  Studying isn’t her strong point, but she enjoys learning new things.  Yes, she can be complicated at times, but she means well.
