Otoro is now part of the Health Guild and works part-time as a physical therapist as x.Fit Athletics. He is also still dancing with his crew, Crash Clowns. He used to be an employee of Sugar Haven.

Otoro values harmony above all else and becomes uncomfortable when there's unresolved tension. He tries to understand all sides and does his best to ameliorate the situation, first gauging what the best course of action is before giving advice.
Though Otoro tries to keep things from going south, he understands that sometimes things cannot be fixed in any feasible manner, and that they'll just have to work around it. When things are going wrong, he still tries to hold onto the hope that things can change. He is both physically but especially socially flexible: he can adapt to various situations quickly and easily blends into most groups as a result.  He enjoys befriending people of all sorts and learning more about them.

Otoro was an immigrant to Topaz City, arriving over a decade ago with little more than a suitcase and the clothes on his back. After a long solitary journey from Ryu-chuan (via a combination of boat rides and on foot), Otoro made ends meet with street performances until he was scouted by his dance crew, Crash Clowns. During the years after, he took on various other jobs to support himself and his family until settling on working for Kinjishi for the high flexibility and benefits it offered. Otoro was trained in traditional dance when he was young and was always been passionate about being active and moving his body. Since he was mostly only familiar with what he had seen on TV and the net, actually arriving at Topaz City proved to be a bit of a culture shock. However, he adjusted and learned a lot over the years. It was originally his older sister’s idea that he go traveling in order to broaden his horizons - after a year of being in a monotonous slump, she figured he had spent enough time at home and needed a new environment. While his reasons for leaving were initially self-centered, midway through the years his sister fell into some gang-related troubles; and so a good portion of his paycheck went towards helping her. He worked at Sugar Haven for 2 years.
After the barrier around Topaz City started to expand, Otoro took frequent trips out of Topaz City to learn more about their situation and check on anyone he recognized along the way. By chance, he ran into his sister Akami on one such trip - even though she was supposed to be back at Ryu-chuan with the rest of their family. They talked and caught up with each other, and with the establishment of the Guilds, he guided her on attuning her new Topaz. Unfortunately thanks to the barrier, they haven't been able to contact their parents; this has been a source of worry for Otoro.

• His name (and his family’s) come from parts of tuna for sushi. 
• Has the ability to sleep/nap basically anywhere and in any circumstances - if he can’t, then something’s definitely Wrong. 
• Uses his wands by tossing them in the air/spinning them and catching them, like baton twirling. Very flashy 
• Carries both his old topaz and his new topaz (on a ring) with him. The old one is in case of emergency...
• Versatile in several styles of dance and enjoys learning new  ones. His own personal style is a fusion with an element of gymnastics.
• Acrobatic and flexible, capable of doing flips and other tricks. He's also good at tossing and catching things.
• More for fun and bonding than anything, Otoro is usually down for low-stakes bets.
